00:08the biography of Prophet Idris, peace be upon him. Prophet Idris, peace be upon him,

00:16is a distinguished prophet mentioned in the Quran and Hadith. He is one of the earliest

00:22prophets and messengers in human history. His life serves as a source of inspiration for us.

00:28As known through religious scriptures and Islamic traditions. This video presents his complete

00:35biography in the light of the Quran, Hadith, and Islamic history. Prophet Idris, peace be upon him,

00:44was a great prophet and messenger. He belonged to the generations following Adam alayhi salam

00:50and Sheath alayhi salam. The meaning of his name, Idris, is elevated or advanced,

00:57reflecting his spiritual and intellectual status. He was an extremely righteous and wise individual

01:05who called people to worship Allah and perform righteous deeds. Idris alayhi salam is mentioned

01:11in two places in the Holy Quran. Surah Maryam, verses 56 and 57. And mention Idris in the book,

01:21Surely he was a man of truth, a prophet. And we raised him to a high station. Surah Umbia.

01:30Verse 85. And mention Ismael, Idris, and Tul Kifl. All were among the patient ones. From these verses,

01:40we understand that Idris alayhi salam was a truthful and patient prophet, and Allah elevated him to a high

01:48status. References to Idris alayhi salam in Hadith are brief, but his elevation to a high place is

01:55mentioned in more detail. One Hadith states, Idris was the first man to learn writing, and he was raised

02:03to the heavens by the command of Allah. Sahih Muslim. This Hadith shows that he was a learned and righteous

02:11person who was elevated to the heavens by Allah's command. Biography of Idris alayhi salam according

02:19to Islamic history. In addition to the Quran and Hadith, Islamic historians have provided further

02:27details about Idris alayhi salam's life, particularly from Ibn Kathir's al-Baydaya wa'l-Nahaya. Allah says in

02:36Surah Meriam 56 and 57. And mention Idris in the book, he was indeed a man of truth, a prophet.

02:45And we raised him to a high station. This verse praises Idris alayhi salam and highlights his

02:52status as a truthful prophet. Many genealogy experts report that Idris alayhi salam is one of the

02:59ancestors in the lineage of Prophet Muhammad sallallahu alayhi wasalam. After Adam alayhi salam and

03:07sheath alayhi salam, he was the first descendant of Adam alayhi salam to receive prophethood.

03:14Ibn Ishaq Ramatullah alayhi states that Idris alayhi salam was the first to initiate writing with a pen.

03:21He lived during the lifetime of Adam alayhi salam and witnessed about 380 years of his life.

03:29Some narrations also suggest that when the Prophet Muhammad sallallahu alayhi wasalam was asked about

03:36astrology, he mentioned a prophet who used to draw lines to understand certain knowledge.

03:42Some scholars believe this referred to Idris alayhi salam, although many false claims have been made

03:48about him, as with other Prophets, philosophers, scholars, and saints. In the Sahih Hadith of

03:55Bukhari and Muslim regarding the event of Miraj, the night journey, it is mentioned that Prophet Muhammad

04:02sallallahu alayhi wasalam met Idris alayhi salam in the fourth heaven. According to Ibn Jerr, citing Hillel

04:10Ibn Yassaf and Ibn Abbas, radiyallahu anhu, when asked about the meaning of Allah's statement,

04:17and we raised him to a high station, Qabi, radiyallahu anhu, said that Allah revealed to

04:24Idris alayhi salam that he would be rewarded for the deeds of all humankind every day.

04:30Seeking to increase his deeds, Idris alayhi salam requested a friend among the angels to

04:36take him to the angel of death to request more time. The angel carried him between his wings and

04:42ascended to the heavens. On reaching the fourth heaven, they met the angel of death, who was

04:49astonished because he had been commanded to seize Idris's soul in the fourth heaven. Yet he assumed

04:55Idris was on earth. Thus, his soul was taken there, fulfilling Allah's command, and we raised him to a

05:03high station. This explanation is also mentioned by Ibn Abi Hadam. Further narrations indicate that Idris

05:11alayhi salam was taken alive to the heavens, and there he passed away, much like the ascension of

05:18Prophet Isa alayhi salam. Afi reported that, according to Ibn Abbas, radiyallahu anhu, Idris alayhi salam

05:28was taken to the sixth heaven, where he died. Dahak also held this view. Imam Bukhari and Muslim,

05:35Ramatullah alayhi salam, reported that the meeting of the Prophet salallahu alayhi wasalam with Idris

05:42alayhi salam occurred in the fourth heaven. And this is considered the most authentic narration.

05:49Hassan al-Basri stated that Allah raised Idris alayhi salam to paradise. Some say Idris alayhi salam

05:57was taken up during the lifetime of his father, Yared Ibn Mahalalil. There are varying views about

06:05whether Idris alayhi salam lived before or after Prophet na' alayhi salam. Some scholars, including

06:12Ibn Masyudi, radiyallahu anhu, and Ibn Abbas, radiyallahu anhu, suggested that Idris alayhi salam

06:20and Prophet Ilyas alayhi salam were the same person. But this opinion is not conclusively proven.

06:27Idris alayhi salam taught the people the following. A belief in the oneness of Allah. He called people

06:35to worship Allah alone. Importance of knowledge and learning. He emphasized acquiring and applying

06:42knowledge. Righteous deeds and moral conduct. He urged people to do good deeds and uphold

06:49righteous behavior. According to cases Alan Bayah, there is no clear and definitive description of

06:56the death of Idris alayhi salam. However, traditional reports suggest that he was raised to the heavens by

07:03Allah's command, where he lived out his remaining life and prayed for humanity close to Allah.

07:10From the life of Idris alayhi salam, we can derive the following important lessons.

07:16The worship of Allah. We should dedicate our lives to Allah's worship. The pursuit of knowledge.

07:23We should seek knowledge and use it for the benefit of humanity. The righteousness. We should lead our

07:30lives committed to good deeds. Patience and endurance. Like Idris alayhi salam, we must learn to patiently

07:39obey Allah's commands. In conclusion, according to cases Alan Bayah, Prophet Idris alayhi salam was a

07:47unique prophet and messenger who called humanity to Allah through knowledge, science, and religious

07:54guidance. He was elevated to the heavens by Allah's command and lived there. His life teaches us the

08:01importance of Tawhid, the oneness of Allah, the pursuit of knowledge, and the commitment to righteous actions.
