00:00As you can see the graphics showing up as Canada, here come the officials, in fact that's not an official, that's the timing official.
00:12So it's a green card, so Canada are okay, they're just coming to reset the timing mechanism on the blocks there.
00:20So no fault of Canada and their lead runner Misha Powell on the inside.
00:24And once again, as per the last race, it's a faulty start if you like, no one at fault, and we go again.
00:34The women's 4x400m World Athletics Relays Final.
00:39Right on the outside, Germany, South Africa, France, USA there with peoples, Spain, Italy, Norway on the inside, Canada.
00:54This is one of the more inexperienced USA quartets that they have fielded here, across these championships so far.
01:14Performed well in the opening round yesterday, Paris Peoples, who ran the third leg in that, has gone out very strongly.
01:23It has already, the United States, gone storming past France, outside them.
01:27One from the outside, South Africa, with Nakui have also started very strongly, as you can see there, coming through on the inside of Shia, of Germany.
01:34So South Africa and the USA, the standout performers through this first 300m or so.
01:40They come in for the first change, and again that first bend of the second leg will be run in lane.
01:44Spain also clinging on to the USA.
01:47Paolo Sevilla, fresh off the back of a 4x1 leg, is running a great leg in the 4x4, just less than about half an hour later.
01:54In fact, so peoples just starting to tie up here as South Africa and Spain finish the leg strongly.
01:58Italy also was strong in the second half of the leg there, as they hand on to Anna Polinari for the second leg.
02:08Just lost a bit of ground actually at the changeover.
02:10Italy as they prepare to break in the back straight from their lane.
02:14Spain on the inside of the USA, who have come through strongly here, with Kamara Davis on the second leg for them.
02:22Spain just settling in behind in second place.
02:23Then Miranda Kurtzea, who should be fresh, the South African, oh sorry, the African champion over 400m, wasn't involved yesterday.
02:30They're starting to cluster up in behind and would expect this to be another of the competitive heats.
02:35But the USA, with Kamara Davis, just managing things out front here as Kurtzea finishes strongly.
02:41Amelie Yule in the white of Norway, the 400m hurdler as well.
02:45In fourth position, as the athletes fan out and prepare with the USA, South Africa and Spain in the medal positions.
02:50Third leg of the women's 4x4 here, and it is as close as you like.
02:55Look at that determination from Mara of Germany there.
02:59And, goodness me, at the front net, it is USA Singletary holding firm.
03:05Fra of Spain having a brilliant run.
03:07The Spaniards so far tonight, the women have been absolutely outstanding.
03:10South Africa in third place there.
03:12Malepo, and look at what's coming behind.
03:14You've got France, Italy, so close, and Norway all fighting it out there.
03:20So we've got USA 1, Spain 2, South Africa 3.
03:24Woof, this is tasty indeed.
03:26And look at Malepo, looks like she's about to make a move.
03:28Singletree just looks to the screen to see how close Fra of Spain is coming.
03:33As we come down the home straight, going in to the fourth leg.
03:36The crowd going mad for France.
03:39What a run by her and the Spaniards.
03:42There's absolutely no stopping Spain at the moment.
03:44They are riding high.
03:46Bianca Hervas takes the baton for them as all the countries just negotiate the traffic through that final changeover.
03:51Hervas in pursuit, Bailey Lear of the USA, who ran a very fine ankle leg yesterday.
03:57Zene van der Belt, who ran two good legs for South Africa.
04:00The 400-meter hurdler pursuing Spain now again, measuring their effort.
04:03It's important that Hervas doesn't panic here with the US athlete going past.
04:07200 meters to go.
04:08Jaeger just out of shot for Norway.
04:10It's storming forward as well, trying to bridge the gap to those leading three.
04:13The USA, and here comes Spain again.
04:15A second bite of the cherry for Bianca Hervas, who did stay calm, but now Bailey Lear tries to put her foot on the accelerator.
04:22She can't quite shake off Spain just at the moment, and now Hervas rallies her challenge.
04:27And the USA are under pressure, and it's Spain again.
04:30Spain reigning Guangzhou once more.
04:34Another unbelievable performance in the Spanish Quartet, who become the World Athletics Relay champions.
04:39From the USA and South Africa take the bronze.
04:42Is there anything this Spanish squad here in China cannot do?
04:46What a fantastic run.
04:48Wow.
04:49I have no words for the Spanish women's teams right now.
04:56That was absolutely outstanding.
04:58South Africa, they're absolutely overjoyed as well.
05:01They've got a national record, as have Norway, and a season's best coming in for Italy.
05:06I mean, exceptional.
05:08Someone needs to give these athletes a raise.
05:11I mean, the Spanish women's team have run out of their skin this weekend.
05:16Other members of the team going to meet them.
05:19They can barely believe it.
05:20If you notice, there's only three members of the team coming to greet them.
05:22That's because one of them ran in the race.
05:24Incredible from Power Sevilla, who's just won, what does she win?
05:27Twenty-odd thousand dollars for second place.
05:28She just won another forty thousand dollars for first place for Spain.
05:31As the USA trudge off.
