00:00Nishioka, Otago and Inoue will bring this Japanese team home.
00:10Bronze medalists Great Britain in lane six led out by Glaive.
00:17Olympian Mitchell Blake part of that bronze medal winning team in second leg. Effoloko runs the third and Amo Dazi will take anchor leg.
00:28Lane five United States. They were disqualified in the Olympic final at Paris. Can they go better here? Courtney Lindsay leads them out.
00:36Kenny Benararek in second leg. Kyrie King in third and Hicklin in the final leg.
00:48Canada take lane four. They are the Olympic champions and this is their Olympic winning team.
00:55Brown, Blake, Rodney takes third leg and de Grasse will bring them home. What will they do here?
01:03A roar goes up for de Grasse in the stadium inside of them. Poland in lane three. Krupa will lead them out
01:11followed by Vodvic on the second leg. Zach on the third and Kopec on the anchor leg. And finally
01:25the eighth team in this final. Germany lane two. Kranz leads them out. Ansar second leg. Wagner
01:34in third and Ansar Pepra will bring them home. This is a stacked field. Make no mistake about it. There's no
01:44Jamaica in it. Anyone could take it. But Great Britain, USA, Japan, South Africa and of course the
01:52Olympic reigning champions in Canada in lane four have got to be in with a very good shout. Here we go
02:00then. Men's four by 100 meter final here at the World Athletics Relays Guangzhou 2025.
02:16Oh and it is a false start. We're going to wait and see what our computer screen says but someone
02:36it may see may have gone early.
02:38It's all about reaction times when it comes to a full start. Let's take a look here. If they're
02:46too early. Oh it looks like it could be Japanese or South Africa potentially.
02:53There's a little movement from the Lazer of South Africa. He stayed in the blocks but there was never
02:58such a slight movement there. Now that's where the camera has gone at the moment but we'll wait and see
03:02for the starters decision here. Oh you can see on your screen South Africa. They are under
03:08the threshold for reaction time. It looks like they've got a red mark against their name.
03:13Let's wait and see. Confirmation. And the minus figure means that they've gone ahead of the gun.
03:200.1 is the allowed limit. Let's see what the officials are going to do here. Well Lars are the
03:24youngster of the world under 20 champion. It's actually a green card. So good news for South Africa and
03:29everybody else that we have everybody staying in. Very good news indeed. No one likes to see a team go
03:37out of a false start. Here we go again then. Second time lucky. Eight teams on your marks. To remind
03:46you inside lane two Germany, lane three Poland, four Canada, five United States, six Great Britain, seven
03:55Japan, eight South Africa and nine Italy on the outside.
04:01And we're away this time as they power round this first quarter of the men's four by 100 meters.
04:21Exceptional running there from South Africa. It looks like as we go into the exchange clean from South Africa,
04:26clear from America. Look at Japan storming ahead as well. USA. Kenny Benarek storming down that.
04:33Absolute seamless change there. Great Britain just behind South Africa on the left of your screen
04:38going well as well as we come round into the home straight. It's South Africa. It's USA. Who's going to have it?
04:44On the final leg. Sabini for South Africa. USA. Hickland going well. Can Sabini make up the time? I think he can.
04:52He's going to take it. And Sabini for South Africa takes on the line. Diamond League winner so far this
04:58year. Exceptional form. He's really showed us what he's made of here. USA seconds.
05:07USA looked booked for 50 meters at that final leg and then Sabini engaged the afterburners and everything
05:13that he's been producing so far this season on the circuit came together and he powered past Brandon
05:19Hicklin. What a brilliant contest on the final leg and Sabini buoyed by that first global medal in the
05:25world indoor championships. Of course over 60 meters for South Africa. Again their hero over 100 meters
05:33gets them home. Certainly does and we barely spoke about Canada in that. I mean they were in it. They were
05:39all in it but the Olympic champions couldn't quite do it here in Guangzhou tonight. They came in a very
05:47respectable third place. That Olympic team was exactly the same unchanged for them but it's all
05:54about South Africa. Sabini down that. Oh he's a happy man isn't he? Look at those smiles down the home
06:00straight and so they should be. Especially after that kind of jittery potential false start that
06:05was going on. They held it together and they were seamless. Yeah it's a great point. Balazzo put that
06:10behind him and Sabini certainly would have had a nervous moment as he was watching up the screens
06:15waiting on that anchor leg to see what was happening but a world leading time for South Africa at this
06:19early stage of the season as the Olympic champions. Aaron Brown comes to congratulate them. Another
06:23bronze medal for Canada as the South Africa quartet are reunited and USA well they were denied in the
06:30women's four by 100 meters and they've been denied certainly the gold medal. It's a second place
06:35performance for them. Again with the quartet that they had out that will be I imagine below their
06:40expectations but sometimes when an athlete is in form and all of the momentum I guess the
06:45psychology is with them like it is Sabini at the moment. Yeah but I mean USA certainly better
06:50performance than they did in the Olympic final last year where they did drop the baton. None of
06:55that's here tonight for them. Here we go Canada. Oh that you see that will have cost them. I'll try
07:02once I'll try again and I'll try a third time. Thank you very much and I'm off and running. Not what you
07:08come to expect from Brown and Blake. I don't think there was a brilliant change from Great Britain
07:11on this bend either in a moment. This one here no that was not a bad one the last one I don't
07:16think was too good from them but anyway look at USA and South Africa a well-oiled quartet and when
07:23you've got Sabini waiting it's such a great position such a great feeling. Yeah again it took a couple of
07:29seconds there for Sabini to get it in his hand but once he did and the USA yeah Hicklin there he's looking
07:35strong but Sabini just gets into his flow absolutely beautiful cool as you like it there's the line
07:42thank you very much. Looks across at Hicklin as he comes across as well very tasty from Sabini indeed.
07:50Japan running well again their only team that are here remember they qualify automatically for
07:54the world championship so they have not sent a huge team here but Sabini those shots will be beaming
07:58across South Africa right now. Great Britain didn't finish by the way they got the one of their changes
08:04wrong and then got the last one completely wrong and never got the baton to their anchor leg runner
08:08but Sabini and there is Wallaza and if Sabini is the one who's been around for many years at the top
08:13level as we see the frustration from the Great Britain team by under Wallaza that is a name that
08:18you should have in your notebook if it's not all
