A man and his wife were seriously injured when their high-powered motorcycle was hit by a four-wheel-drive (4WD) vehicle on the New Klang Valley Expressway near the Duta toll plaza on Saturday (May 10).

00:23The 53-year-old man and his 49-year-old wife were riding in the left lane when a four-wheel
00:29drive attempting to overtake another motorcycle collided with them.
00:33The man suffered broken ribs and deep wounds while his wife sustained head injuries, broken
00:38ribs and a fractured leg.
00:41Both were rushed to Sungai Bulo Hospital for treatment.
00:44The 32-year-old four-wheel drive driver was uninjured and lodged a police report at 6.55 p.m.
00:51the same day.
00:52He has since been detained and remanded for two days.
00:55The case is being investigated under Section 42, Subsection 1 of the Road Transport Act
01:011987 for reckless and dangerous driving.
