A 25-year-old man lost his life after his motorcycle collided with a jeep on Jalan Tambun in Ipoh, Perak Thursday (Oct 31) morning.

00:00A 25-year-old man died after his motorcycle collided with a jeep on Jalan Tambun in Ipoh
00:08on Thursday around 9 a.m.
00:10Ipoh OCPD Assistant Commissioner Abang Zainal Abidin, Abang Ahmad confirmed the motorcyclist
00:16was killed instantly at the scene.
00:19The accident occurred when the jeep was turning onto Jalan Tambun from Tambun New Village,
00:24while the motorcyclist travelling towards the city from Tanjung Rambutan was unable
00:29to stop in time, crashing into the jeep's right side.
00:33The victim sustained severe chest injuries, with a post-mortem at Raja Permaisuri Bainun
00:38Hospital confirming chest trauma as the cause of death.
00:42The jeep's 77-year-old driver was uninjured.
00:46The case is being investigated under Section 41, Subsection 1 of the Road Transport Act
00:51for reckless driving causing death.
00:53ACP Abang Zainal urged drivers to follow road safety practices and reminded the public
00:59to wear seatbelts and helmets.
