‘It makes me want to stay at home’: are our streets getting less safe?

We’re asking people around Newport if they feel like their area is safe, or if it’s all getting worse.

00:09cities so even though Wales have been put down a lot and well I'm originally from Newport,

00:14I live in Pottypool now, but it's that with the mentality of Newport yes it is it's rough around

00:20the edges and you know it's like that everywhere unfortunately with different cities. I think

00:26everywhere could be dangerous today, it's just the state of the country because money is short and

00:31things like that, people will try to rob people in the game then. It was absolutely terrible,

00:36the amount of stuff I've seen makes me want to stay at home and never leave I can't know.

00:39I would say like I live in one of like the better areas from Brand like it it's getting worse but

00:44like it's a lot more settled in Newport, Newport's not quite safe I'd say. But there's been there's

00:49lots of harm on a year there wasn't any like you'd have the odd fight. No, drugs are terrible. I mean
