00:00Inspector General of Police Razoruddin Hussein has ordered Rukit Aman's Criminal Investigation Department to form a special team to probe the alleged abduction of Pamela Ling.
00:13Razoruddin said he would be chairing a meeting tonight to get the latest updates on the case, Sinar Haryan reported.
00:20He said 16 people had given their statements to assist in investigations, including Ling's husband, Sarawakian businessman Thomas Ha.
00:27When asked by reporters if Ha was a possible suspect, Razoruddin said the cops were not ruling out the possibility just yet, although several other individuals were also possible suspects.
00:40Ling was on her way to the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission's headquarters on April 9 to give a statement related to an ongoing investigation when she was allegedly abducted with the e-hailing vehicle she was in, cornered by three other cars.
00:53Police said she had visited the anti-graft agency's headquarters several times before her disappearance, while the e-hailing driver claimed that three individuals had emerged from the vehicle's wearing police outfits.
01:05The cops have not ruled out the possibility that Ling's abduction was partly orchestrated to discredit MACC and the police.
