00:00The woman who went missing while on her way to the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission's

00:06headquarters last month was assisting in an investigation under the Anti-Money Laundering,

00:11Anti-Terrorism Financing and Proceeds of Unlawful Activities Act 2001.

00:16MACC said Pamela Ling had been asked to present herself at its headquarters in Putrajaya on April

00:229 to aid in the probe that involved both the Anti-Money Laundering Law and the MACC Act 2009.

00:29In a statement, MACC said she failed to show up on the date as scheduled and MACC officers have been

00:35unable to contact her on her mobile phone or other communication modes since. MACC added that it has

00:41handed over records of its efforts to locate her to the police based on the police report that was

00:46filed. Ling's role in the investigation has not been disclosed but the probes into the Anti-Money

00:52Laundering Law typically involve financial transactions suspected to be linked to criminal

00:56or terrorist activities. Earlier today, Kuala Lumpur Police Chief Rusti Issa said they have

01:02yet to uncover any leads in their investigation into Ling's disappearance. Ling's brother Simon

01:08claimed that she had been abducted. He said an e-hailing car Ling was traveling in was intercepted by

01:13three unidentified vehicles and that she was instructed to get into one of them.
