President Trump Tells Alabama Graduates: 'You're The First Graduating Class Of The Golden Age Of America'

During his commencement speech at the University of Alabama, President Trump hyped up the "Golden Age of America."

00:00order, as you know, it's done. The class of 2025 was the first to enter the halls of this

00:05university in the aftermath of COVID-19. Following a difficult senior year of high school, many of

00:12you came here to Tuscaloosa from around the country and for the very first time you experienced

00:17something called freedom. You had freedom. So let's give a big round of applause to the leaders

00:26of this state who chose liberty over lockdowns. They did. They did a good job.

00:35They did a good job.

00:40As you know, there are few campuses in the world more beautiful than this one, and there are few

00:45memories sweeter than the ones you have formed, really, at this capstone and at the capstone.

00:51You'll miss the beautiful sounds of Denny Chimes, the excitement of lining the Walk of Champions,

00:58the Saturday tailgates at the Quad. As you graduate, it's natural to reflect on four years of happy

01:05memories, and you've really had happy memories here. You've done a lot of winning. Winning is

01:09a good thing to do. But today, I'm also asking you to look forward to really something very,

01:16very bright and more promising. And it's going to be an even more promising tomorrow. I promise you that.

01:22You're the first graduating class of the Golden Age of America. We're in the Golden Age. You watch.

01:34This is the Golden Age. We've done things that nobody thought possible. One hundred days yesterday,

01:41one hundred days, and we've done things that nobody thought even possible.

01:47Like many generations before you, you're graduating at an exciting time for our nation,

01:55a period of both extraordinary change and incredible potential and what will be unbelievable growth.

02:02You're going to see that very soon. You're going to see it starting very, very soon. The whole world is

02:07talking about it. Our country has always been defined by its ability to reform and reinvent itself,

02:14to meet the challenges of the next era. The last four years were not good for our country. But don't

02:21let that scare you. It was an aberration. We're run by people who truly, at that time, four years,

02:29we were run by people that didn't have a clue. They didn't have a clue. And I'm trying to be nice when

02:36I say it that way. They allowed our beautiful USA to be laughed at, scorned, and taken advantage of

02:43by everybody. We were ripped off on trade by nations all over the world, both friend and foe. And oftentimes,

02:50a friend was far worse on trade than the foe. But those days are over. You're at the start of something

02:56very, very big. You're going to see that very soon. Now, exactly 250 years after the first Patriots

03:03stood and fought at Lexington and Concord, we're in the midst of another kind of revolution,

03:08a revolution of winning and a revolution of common sense. Common sense.

03:13Everywhere you look, broken systems, corrupt institutions, and tired dogmas are being swept

03:29away by the tide of history. Ancient wisdom is being rediscovered, and the best and strongest

03:35traits of America are coming back for all to see bigger, better, and greater than ever. Coming back,

03:42and they're coming back fast. The spirit of our age is one of boldness, vigor, ambition,

03:48and adventure. And it's exciting to be you and young. Oh, I'd pay you a lot of money to have your age.

03:56You have a great future. The people have rejected the voices of a failed establishment. You saw that

04:01in the election. We've turned the page on endless wars, crippling debt, open borders, ruinous inflation,

04:08and a lack of respect for our country and for its leaders. But we're turning that all around,

04:14and we're turning it around very fast. We will very quickly make America great again.
