00:24in February last year. The charge, framed under Section 14A of the Sexual Offenses Against Children

00:30Act 2017, carries a maximum sentence of 20 years jail and caning upon conviction. DPP Juan Abdullah

00:39Juan Rodzla offered bail of 20,000 ringgit with additional conditions that the accused refrain

00:46from approaching the alleged victim or witnesses, report to the nearest police station once a month

00:52and surrender his passport to the court. However, lawyer Umar Zulkarnain, representing the accused,

00:59appealed for lower bail. The court then set bail at 8,000 ringgit with one surety and imposed

01:05the additional conditions. Next mention of the case was fixed on June 9th.
