00:06I will tell you that they went to a place that you've been to, right?

00:09Oh, the Ritz and Ebor, yeah.

00:11You see a lot of bands and stuff there.

00:13Right, and she said that that did not hinder them getting to know each other, though.

00:15They actually danced a little bit and all that, so that was fun.

00:18Yeah, and she said he picked her up.

00:19They drove together, so they kind of talked there, too.

00:21And she said she had a really good time.

00:23She was very flirty with him, so she definitely was telling him that she liked him.

00:29And she kind of thought he liked her back, but he's not getting back to her for another date.

00:33All right, so we're going to call him right now.

00:54Hey, Phil, sorry to bother you this morning.

01:09We want to talk to you, actually, about a date you recently went on,

01:13and it's about a girl, or it was with a girl that's really into you,

01:17and we wanted to ask you a couple questions.

01:26We are talking about Katie, and Katie told us that you guys went out in Ybor to the Ritz Saw Band.

01:35You were a gentleman, picked her up.

01:37She said you guys were talking a bunch on the way there and on the way back,

01:40and I think she even sent you a text post-date saying, like,

01:44hey, cutie, let's hang out again or something like that.

01:46Those are her words, not mine.

01:49And now she hasn't heard from you since then and didn't get a response,

01:53and she's just trying to figure out what's going on.

01:55So we thought we'd ask you straight up, why are you not trying to see this girl again?

02:00Yeah.

02:01Look, I mean, the short of it is it actually does kind of stink because she was really cool.

02:06She was a really pretty girl, and we did have a really good time.

02:11But when I was driving her home, we were just, you know, we were talking,

02:17just everything just going as normal.

02:19And completely out of the blue, she just popped out a cigarette, lit it up in the car,

02:25rolled down the windows, did not even say anything, did not ask anything, was just smoking.

02:31She just lit a cigarette up in your car?

02:34Yeah, and that's the thing.

02:36It really took me by surprise.

02:38Yeah.

02:38She didn't ask.

02:40I'd be upset if somebody did that to me.

02:42Yeah, well, I mean, you know, on top of everything else, I mean, it just stinks up the car.

02:46And, I mean, even when people think, you know, you're going to roll down the windows

02:49and that gets rid of it, it really doesn't.

02:51It's really unfortunate.

02:52I don't do the smoking thing.

02:54I, you know, teach their own, but I can't date a smoker.

02:57So I'm just, you know, I don't think it's going to work out.

03:00And did you say anything to her?

03:02Like, hey, put that out.

03:03You know what?

03:04At the moment, it was just such a surprise.

03:07I just didn't even know how to appropriately react without just yelling or anything like that.

03:13So I just kind of let it happen.

03:15Well, I mean, that's pretty cut and dry.

03:16I mean, don't date a smoker and don't light up a cigarette in my car.

03:20I mean, that's, I kind of get why you would be not getting back to her.

03:24We do have her on the phone with us, I will tell you, because that's how we got your phone

03:29I want to bring her back on because we're kind of on your side with this.

03:34First of all, I'm not a smoker.

03:37I'm like one of those people that if I've had a couple of drinks, I like having a smoke,

03:41you know?

03:42That's a smoker.

03:43But I don't understand why you thought it was just okay to light up a cigarette in somebody's

03:48car.

03:49I opened the window.

03:52It's not like it's smelled in his car.

03:54I don't know what he's talking about unless you have like some, you know, I don't know,

03:58supersonic nose or something.

04:00I don't know.

04:01But I just, yeah, I really didn't think anything of it.

04:05If you had a problem with it, you should have just said something like, oh, sorry, I don't

04:10like people smoking in my car or sorry, I don't date smokers.

04:14If you're lighting up a cigarette in somebody's car, I'm not going to tell you right there,

04:18hey, I don't date smokers.

04:19What am I going to drop you off on the corner?

04:21No, I mean, whatever.

04:23Like, you don't have to say that, but you can just say like, don't smoke in my car, please.

04:27And then I would say like, oh, gosh, I'm so sorry, you know?

04:30How could you not know that?

04:32Do you see?

04:33But listen, listen to the asking.

04:34You're asking me to be courteous to you, who should have been courteous to me asking

04:39to smoke in my car.

04:42You're a smoker.

04:43Okay.

04:43You can't, you can't say, well, I only smoke every now and then.

04:45I just smoke when I drink, but okay.

04:48That's a smoker.

04:49That's just, I don't know what, if I, if I put on rollerblades, you know, once in a

04:53year, it's like, okay, well, I know how to rollerblade.

04:56I don't know.

04:56It's just someone else.

04:59That was a good analogy.

05:02A big part of relationships is communication, right?

05:06Yes.

05:06And I, I, I would expect that if you're going through your life, just expecting other

05:13people to communicate everything to you when you have a problem with something and the other

05:19person doesn't like, that's really, that's, that's not going to go very well for you.

05:23So, oh my God, Katie, you're so close.

05:25No, no, it's just something to reflect on.

06:08Just ripping a heater in someone's car?
