00:00
Well, Michelle is on the 7-15 second date update this morning, and that's because she cannot get a hold of Sam since they had a great date.
00:10
Yeah, they said they talked about a lot of stuff, and they bonded over the fact that they both have kids.
00:13
Right.
00:14
And they talked about going out on another date, so they both...
00:18
And that's post-date. They were texting us.
00:19
Right. They definitely were into each other, and something must have happened. Who knows?
00:25
The conversation and communication has dropped off. We don't know what's going on.
00:29
So we actually were able to get Sam on the phone with us, do what we do.
00:33
I want to bring him back on. He's agreed to talk to us. Sam, you there?
00:37
Hey, yeah, I'm here. Can you hear me?
00:38
Yeah, I can hear you fine, man. I really do appreciate you agreeing to come on the air with us.
00:42
I do want to talk to you about this girl, Michelle, that you went on a date with.
00:47
I know you went to Bahama Breeze with her. I know that you guys had a great time there, it seemed.
00:53
You guys were talking post-date and texting back and forth, and even talking about hanging out again.
00:59
And she's just really confused on why the conversation stopped, and why you haven't made plans to hang out again.
01:06
Is there anything you could share with us that would kind of help us understand why?
01:11
She was a lot of fun when we went on our date. We had a good time, I thought.
01:14
But then a couple of days later, she sends me this text message, and it just kind of shook me.
01:20
And I don't know, I don't think we're going to work out long-term.
01:24
In fact, you know what? I actually have it right here still. Hold on, I'm going to pull it up.
01:30
All right, so we were talking about having a little Memorial Day weekend get-together, like me, her kids, my kids, everybody.
01:37
And then she sends me this text a few days later, and it says, I'm going to read it,
01:43
Oh my God, I finally got rid of my kids for the weekend. Can you get rid of yours so we can hang out?
01:49
And that really threw me, man.
01:52
Like, I was so surprised by this, because listen, I love my kids, right?
01:56
Like, they don't live with me, so every minute that I could spend with them, I adore.
02:00
I wish I could spend every day with them.
02:03
And I can't imagine the mindset that leads to someone saying, I got rid of my kids.
02:08
Like, that's insane to me.
02:10
I'm just not looking for a woman who's, you know, trying to get away from her family so she can go out and party.
02:17
Because it kind of looks like that's all she really does.
02:20
I looked at her Instagram, too, and it's all, like, her drinking, partying, like, I think it's a woman.
02:25
When is she a mom, huh?
02:28
Yeah, that's what I'm wondering.
02:29
Well, I mean, let's give her an opportunity to defend herself, because, Sam, we have Michelle on the phone with us.
02:36
And that's how we got your phone number.
02:38
Michelle, you heard what Sam had to say.
02:41
Yeah, I did hear.
02:44
And just so you know, I didn't say I wanted to get rid of my kids.
02:49
You know, my plans changed at the last minute, and I was just kind of looking forward to an adult weekend.
02:55
And, like, I have my kids more than my ex, and when I can get an adult weekend in, I want one.
03:00
Like, I never get a break.
03:02
So what I do, I just, like, want to be an adult, and I want to, like, live.
03:06
And, like, that's just how it is.
03:09
I don't know what the problem is.
03:11
I mean, I just read it verbatim.
03:14
You typed out the words, I finally got rid of my kids.
03:17
Can you get rid of yours so we can hang out?
03:19
Like, that's not me, and I don't really want that energy around.
03:23
Like, I'm a family guy.
03:24
I'm trying to, you know, when I was a kid, Memorial Day was, like, something you did with your family.
03:29
We, you know, we cooked burgers on the grill and hung out, or we went to the beach as a family.
03:34
I cannot imagine.
03:36
I cannot dream of dumping my family off on someone else and then just going out to get wrecked.
03:40
No, no, listen.
03:41
I don't want to dump my family off.
03:44
That's not what I'm saying.
03:46
I don't know what you think I am, but, like, I love my kids the most.
03:50
But I just, sometimes I need a break, and when I do, I just want to have a good time and, like, let loose.
03:56
And just, like, I don't know, moms need a break, too.
03:59
And I'm not, like, doing anything horrible with my kids.
04:02
My parents watch them, and they have fun there.
04:04
I'm sorry if I just want to have fun.
04:06
Like, I don't know what the issue is.
04:09
I'm not suggesting that you don't love your kids.
04:11
I'm sure you do.
04:12
It's just, I don't know.
04:14
I want a woman who's going to blow off her friends to spend time with her kids, not the other way around.
04:20
I mean, I get what you're saying, but, like, honestly, if I'm going to be a good mom, I need a break sometimes.
04:26
And I need to go do my thing so I can recharge my battery so I can be great for my kids.
04:31
You know, maybe.
04:32
But we were talking about spending Memorial Day weekend with the kids and stuff, and then suddenly you got rid of them.
04:37
And, I mean, you're talking a lot about needing a break, but I look at your Instagram.
04:41
It looks like you're having a lot of fun.
04:43
I'm not saying I got rid of them for Memorial Day.
04:45
My plans changed.
04:46
I was going to spend it with them, but the plans changed, and now I'm not.
04:50
I didn't, like, purposefully get rid of them.
04:52
Okay, well, let's say that there's some bad wording going on in the text here, okay?
04:57
Maybe just the phrasing might have been a little off, and things can get lost in text.
05:01
That happens.
05:03
I mean, Michelle does sound very nice, Sam.
05:06
I mean, it sounds like she loves her kids, too.
05:08
I mean, is this something that might have just been a miscommunication?
05:12
You know what?
05:13
Maybe.
05:14
But if so, that's really unfortunate, because I'm just not interested.
05:17
It's not for me.
05:18
Okay.
05:18
Huh.
05:18
Okay.
05:19
And that's that, huh?
05:21
That's that.
05:22
All right.
05:22
Man.
05:23
Well, Michelle, you heard what Sam had to say.
05:26
You heard why he said it, and now you got some answers of why he has not gotten back
05:31
to you and why the communication dropped off, and I'm sorry for that.
05:34
Yeah.
05:36
Okay.
05:37
Yeah.
05:38
All right.
05:38
Well, I'm going to let you guys go.
05:40
Sam, thanks for coming on.
05:41
Michelle, thanks for your time.
05:42
You guys have a great day.
05:44
Okay.
05:44
Thanks.
05:45
Bye.
05:46
You know, when you are a parent, you don't get a break.
05:50
You are a parent all the time, 24-7.
05:53
I mean, Kevin, do you ever, ever, like, I need a break?
05:57
I'm sure you might.
05:58
I think Kevin's probably said, I need a break, but that's not an option.
06:01
Oh, yeah.
06:02
Yeah, absolutely.
06:03
That's happened.
06:04
But, yeah.
06:04
I mean, just being a parent, you know what you're getting into.
06:08
Yeah.
06:08
I mean, that's the...
06:08
Phrasing of, I got rid of my kids.
06:11
Can you get rid of yours?
06:12
Yeah.
06:12
If that's what he read verbatim to us, that's a tough one to hear.
06:14
That is.
06:15
As a parent.
06:16
All right.
06:17
This will be interesting to see where people are at.
