00:00We know the hard work and sacrifice they go through serving our community and keeping us safe.

00:06Let's honor another first responder on 99.5 QYK.

00:11We love celebrating first responder Friday.

00:14Kevin and I both have first responders in our lives.

00:18My fiance Paul is a firefighter and his wife is a nurse.

00:22And it's always awesome to learn about others who are serving here in our community.

00:26And today we have Christina on the phone.

00:29And Christina, your husband is in law enforcement.

00:33Is that correct?

00:34Yes.

00:34And tell us what Taylor does.

00:36Where does he work?

00:37Taylor works for the Tampa Police Department.

00:39He does narcotics investigations.

00:41Ooh, wow.

00:42Okay.

00:42So how long has he been doing that?

00:45Quite some time.

00:46I think four or five years.

00:48Okay.

00:48So he's been working narcotics for four years.

00:50And here in your little notes, it says that he's been working for the department for over 16 years.

00:55Yes, he has.

00:57He's been with two different departments.

00:58It's really a passion of his.

00:59So does he do like undercover stuff?

01:02He does.

01:03Yes.

01:04So does he ever tell you about some of the cool things that they get to do?

01:09Yeah, I get to see some of them.

01:10I actually met him on a case.

01:12Oh, did you get to be part of like a case?

01:15Like you were like a decoy or something?

01:16No, I wish.

01:18I keep wanting them to put me in as a CI, but they won't do it.

01:21Yeah.

01:21Oh, man.

01:22But I bet it can be, you know, scary at sometimes because he's probably going into some situations

01:27that are a little unnerving for you when you know about them, when he's honest with you

01:32about what kind of work he's doing.

01:34Absolutely.

01:35The last couple of years have been really hard and there's been a lot of nights where

01:38I didn't get a lot of sleep, but he loves what he does.

01:41He loves helping the community and I fully support him in that.

01:43Well, you're obviously an awesome wife for that.

01:45I also read here that your husband, Taylor, is an animal lover.

01:49He is a self-proclaimed animal whisperer.

01:53He has brought home a couple of cats at this point.

01:58We ourselves have two cats and a dog.

02:00We adopt them out and get them checked out.

02:03But yes, he's got a way with animals.

02:05They love him and he loves them just as much.

02:07I love how you say he's self-proclaimed.

02:09He's like, yes, I am.

02:11I can talk to animals.

02:12What do they like me, which is very insulting, but yes.

02:15So are these animals that maybe he comes across on the job?

02:20Yes.

02:21Wow.

02:21Every now and then, one will jump in his car.

02:25Yeah, it's just kind of random how they've come about, but he protects people and animals.

02:30He doesn't discriminate.

02:31I love that about him.

02:32Well, listen, Christina, we are so blessed and honored to learn more about Taylor, again,

02:37working for the Tampa Police Department, just another one of our great responders here in

02:40our community.
