00:00Carly Pearce going to be on the show at 7.40 this morning, but first it is your 7.15 second date update.
00:05You know, you think you go have a date on the beach, you go for a walk on the beach, things are going well, it's going to make for a great romantic date.
00:12That's what Nick thought, that's why he's calling us.
00:15We just talked to him, and we were able to track down his date, Jody, because he has not heard back from her since the date.
00:21Let's bring her back on, she talked to Kevin off the air.
00:24Jody, are you there?
00:25Hi, good morning.
00:27Good morning, I'm glad that you're a chipper, not everybody is when we bring him back on for the 7.15 second date update.
00:32But listen, we wanted to ask you actually a question about a date you went on.
00:37This isn't about Nick, is it?
00:39Nick.
00:40Yeah.
00:41Oh my gosh.
00:43What happened?
00:44I mean, he told us about this romantic date you guys went on, walks on the beach, dinner on the beach, what happened?
00:51So, did he tell you about my foot?
00:55Your foot?
00:56No, what happened to your foot?
00:58Okay, I cut my foot.
01:00You know, we had taken off like our flip-flops, so walking barefoot on the beach, and I don't know what it was that I cut myself on, but it was gushing blood.
01:10Oh!
01:11Oh, gross.
01:12It was awful.
01:12Like, I was mortified, right, because you're here on this date, and anyway, I would have thought that maybe he would have, like, I don't know, gone to get the car or, like, offered me the shirt off his back to, like, wrap it.
01:29But it's nothing.
01:31So, what did he do?
01:33So, I'm standing there, like, holding on with my other foot, trying to keep it from bleeding, trying to let the water, like, rush back.
01:41And we'd walked a pretty long way, so he's like, nah, it'll be fine.
01:47And he didn't offer to, like, help me or, like, I mean, I didn't expect him to, like, carry me or anything, but, like, I don't know, an arm or, like, help me hobble back or something.
02:00Nothing.
02:00Oh, so there you are, standing there with your foot, gushing blood, and he's not doing anything.
02:06Mm-hmm.
02:06It was as if, like, he completely was unsupportive of the situation.
02:12Damn.
02:13So, you know, hobble back.
02:15We get back to the car.
02:18He has this greasy rag from the back of his trunk, and I'm thinking, uh, no, not putting that on.
02:26And he's genuinely surprised that I don't want to put, I don't know, like, this dirty towel on my open wound.
02:36Right.
02:37I don't blame you.
02:38Yeah, this is weird.
02:39Like, I don't know why he didn't get paper towels or something else, like a napkin or something like that, to make this a little bit more sanitary.
02:44You would have thought, right?
02:45I mean, he was wearing a T-shirt.
02:48Like, take off the T-shirt.
02:50It couldn't have been more than about, like, 10, 15 bucks.
02:53Nope.
02:54Nothing.
02:55So, I'm doing the best I can to hold the blood from dripping in his car on the way home.
03:01Man.
03:02And then he just sort of, he just sort of dropped me off.
03:04There's no, like, do you want to go to the hospital?
03:07Or, like, he didn't help me walk into the house.
03:10Nothing.
03:11Nothing.
03:12And I'm thinking, okay, well, this is no.
03:15Just no.
03:16So, was it a pretty deep cut, though?
03:20Yes.
03:20I wound up getting about seven stitches.
03:23Are you kidding me?
03:24No.
03:25No, it was awful.
03:27That's why I would have thought, like, here on this beautiful date and with this, he was gorgeous.
