00:00You know, Ben sounds like a good guy.
00:01They went to the Columbia house for dinner.
00:03He said that Morgan was very driven.
00:06She was very professional, and he was very impressed by her.
00:10You asked him if he was professional, too, and he was like, yeah, and I asked him about the grooming.
00:14And he was like, no, I looked good, smelled good.
00:16He goes, you know, it's a first date, you know, so it sounds like he kind of took his time and made sure he was well-groomed.
00:21But all his follow-up texts since the date has heard nothing.
00:24So, Kevin talked to Morgan off the air and kind of got her permission for her to come on with us.
00:32I want to bring her back on right now.
00:34Morgan.
00:35Hi.
00:36Hey, how you doing?
00:37I know you talked to Kevin.
00:39You kind of know what we're talking to you about.
00:41We're going to ask you some questions about Ben, and you're cool with that, right?
00:47Yeah.
00:47Okay.
00:48We were just talking about it.
00:49We know you went to the Columbia house.
00:51He really was complimentary of you, not only because he said you were, you know, attractive, but also very professional and, you know, just an impressive woman.
01:01And he is just very confused on what happened since the date because he thought it really went well and you guys connected.
01:08So, what's the reason for you not getting back to him?
01:13Honestly, he is also handsome, and he definitely has his stuff together.
01:19But there's just something that just was rubbing me the wrong way.
01:25Basically, he's been married, divorced, but that's fine.
01:29But there's something I noticed towards the end of the date that was just kind of, yeah, just rubbed me the wrong way.
01:37So, my gosh.
01:38Well, what's that?
01:40Basically, when it was time to pay, he takes out the credit card, and I glanced over, and I saw that there was a woman's name on it.
01:49And I'm like, okay, that's strange.
01:51And I, you know, I asked him about it, and he tells me that's his ex-wife's name.
01:56And I'm like, oh, really?
01:59And he's just like, yeah, we, you know, we had a joint account.
02:03We still have it.
02:04I just thought that was super suspicious.
02:06And he says, yeah, he has this card with her name on it.
02:11But he's going on dates and paying for it with his wife's credit card?
02:16It's so freaking bizarre.
02:17He says, you know, that they had this joint account that they both contributed to and all of that.
02:23I mean, he gave me, like, a whole rundown, but I was, honestly, I'm like, he told me he's been divorced for a couple years.
02:29And I was just like, if I have to ask you to explain your life and why you made choices on the first date, it's just too much of a red flag.
02:37Well, I can see that.
02:38Yeah, absolutely.
02:40Does she know about this, the ex-wife?
02:42Oh, we're going to find that out.
02:44We're going to find that out.
02:45I mean, I would assume that she would see charges on her card.
02:47Well, yeah.
02:48But he must be able to use it somehow, because if it's a joint account, they probably both have a card to that account.
02:54Why would he still be using it?
02:56I don't know, but, you know, the good news is, Lana, you're asking me these questions, but we can actually ask him.
03:01Morgan, we actually have been on the end of the line, and I want to bring him back on.
03:04Oh, my God.
03:06Yeah, but I see how that would be very kind of weird, because it's kind of like she's paying for the date.
03:12Super weird.
03:13Ben, you there?
03:15Yo, yeah, I'm here.
03:16I mean, Ben, do we have to report you to the law for credit card fraud, or, like, what's going on right now?
03:21No, no, no, no, no.
03:23I mean, just like I told her, it's a card that, yeah, I had with my ex.
03:29There's still a joint account open between it.
03:32I mostly am the one that uses it.
03:35She'll use it occasionally, maybe, but, you know, mostly me.
03:39It always gets paid.
03:40There's no fraud, I'm authorized to use it.
03:43There's really nothing weird or suspicious about it.
03:46She doesn't care that you're taking other women out on a credit card she owns?
03:51No, but it's a joint account.
03:53What ex is going to do that?
03:54Well, she doesn't know what I'm using it for.
03:57We're out of each other's lives.
03:59And we'll get those accounts taken care of.
04:02There's just a lot going on in the divorce.
04:05I mean, we had a whole lot of stuff tied up together.
04:08So it's just one of those things that we'll get taken care of.
04:13Honestly, that for me was just too weird.
04:17It's just shows that you guys are still really tied together if you're sharing finances.
04:22Like, that's a huge thing.
04:24You know, it's not like a Netflix password.
04:26And I'm just, I'm not really comfortable with that.
04:30Ben, do you pay for your wife's, like, stuff she uses that on this card?
04:35Ex-wife.
04:35No, no.
04:36If she'll run a charge on it, then she'll be able to pay that or give me the money to pay it.
04:42I mean, it's not, it's very fair.
04:44I mean, the divorce is very amicable.
04:47Like, I mean, look, man, divorce is complicated.
04:49And if you haven't gone through it, then I understand how you don't get that there's all kinds of things that take time to, you know, reestablish as your own.
04:59Like, that's all this is, is just, it's an account that we have, I get points on this card for a restaurant right now.
05:05Oh, it's about the points.
05:07Who's taking the points?
05:08Did you get those in the divorce?
05:12Yeah, for me, yeah, I have not been married.
05:15I get that.
05:16But for me, cutting the financial ties is probably a lot more simple than most things.
05:21The fact that I have to even ask about it when we don't know each other is just like, no.
05:26Like, it's not the direction I want to go in at this point in my life.
05:30We had a really good time together.
05:31Why can't we just focus on that really nice time that we had together?
05:35It's not that big of a deal to you, but it's super weird and it's a big deal to me.
05:40So, yeah, I hope this gives you the clarity you need, but I prefer you don't contact me anymore.
05:45Okay?
05:45Okay.
05:46I'm all set.
05:47All right.
05:48Ben, you heard what you had to say.
05:49We're going to respect that for sure.
05:50Morgan, I appreciate your time this morning and coming on with us.
05:54Now you've got some answers, Ben.
05:55And I thank you for your time as well.
05:57And I wish you both luck.
05:58Yeah, thanks.
05:59All right.
06:00Take care, guys.
06:02I had my name change, address changed, and new credit card at my door within three months
06:07of getting my divorce.
06:08Yes, it takes some time, but do it because...
06:12Well, they've been divorced for two years.
06:14That's what I'm saying.
06:15Uh-uh.
06:15Something's going on here.
06:16I'm like, so I'm thinking in my head, like if I was, if Paul and I were at dinner and he
06:21pulled out like an ex's credit card with her name on it, yeah, uh-uh.
06:25No, I don't like that.
06:26It's weird.
06:27That's weird.
06:28There's definite connections still there.
06:29All right.
06:30Do you think it's weird?
