00:00A couple things going on that you need to be abreast of.
00:04Gremlins.
00:05Do you know this movie Gremlins?
00:06Yes, it was the star of my nightmares growing up.
00:11You didn't like Gizmo?
00:12Well, yes, but Gizmo, if Gizmo got wet, turned into this like ugly, sticky, gremlin-y thing.
00:19Right.
00:20Hence the name Gremlins.
00:21Right.
00:21Gizmo was cute while the Gremlins director claims that Baby Yoda was stolen from Gizmo.
00:27I can see it.
00:28Yeah, Gremlins director Joe Dante said that Gragu from the Star Wars Disney Plus series The Mandalorian was completely, quote unquote, stolen from the Gizmo character featured in the movie he directed in 1984.
00:42I mean, there's a lot of similarities.
00:44The ears, the head shape, the size, the only real difference, even the eyes, the only real difference is the color.
00:52Like one is warm and fuzzy, Gizmo's fuzzy, and then Baby Yoda is green.
00:58Now, let me defend Baby Yoda.
01:01Baby Yoda is a copy of Yoda, which was out around the same time as Gremlins.
01:10Right.
01:11So, I mean, yes, they are similar, but to say that it's a copy of, it's not like they just created Baby Yoda.
01:18Baby Yoda is a copy of something that came out in 1982 or 81 or whatever it was.
01:23Right.
01:24So anyway, but this guy's mad.
01:26He told the director of Gremlins, told the San Francisco Chronicle in a recent interview, quote,
01:32which brings me, of course, to the subject of Baby Yoda, who, by the way, was completely stolen and is just out and out copied shamelessly, I would think.
01:40I wonder if he will try to legally go after them.
01:46I don't know.
01:46Or is there like a statute of notation?
01:48No, I don't.
01:49And I don't think the director has owned the rights to it.
01:52You know what I mean?
01:53I just think he's just saying that it's a shameless ripoff.
01:57Well, maybe they're just cousins.
01:59But look, in 1980, Yoda came out.
02:02Okay.
02:02But to be fair, Yoda looks nothing like Baby Yoda.
02:06Well, of course not.
02:07Baby Yoda's way cuter.
02:08Look.
02:08I know.
02:09But like Baby Yoda's green.
02:11Yoda Yoda is like this weird grayish color.
02:14I don't know.
02:15Yeah.
02:15Okay.
02:17Anyway, there was that that I want you to know.
02:18And also, Macy's will have a Toys R Us in every store just in time for the holiday season this year.
02:24Wow.
02:25Toys R Us is really trying to make that resurgence.
02:27Macy's has announced the toy store brand will be in every one of the locations.
02:31It will vary in size from 1,000 to 10,000 square feet.
02:35The Toys R Us brand has attempted a number of comebacks since it's closed all of its brick and mortar stores in 2018.
02:40I remember I went to that one in Pineville.
02:43I used to go there, too.
02:44Like one of the last days that it was open.
02:46And it was so sad because everything was just being taken and not, you know, replenished.
02:51But they went to an online thing at some point.
02:56The plan is that Macy's will have all the Toys R Us locations inside their store open by October 15th.
03:05And they will have.
03:07Oh, by the way, the stores will also have family friendly activities and daily giveaways from Barbie and Lego and more.
03:14That's cool.
03:14Well, and lastly, you want one more?
03:18Sure.
03:18One more thing to be abreast about?
03:19Uh-huh.
03:19All right.
03:20Well, when you eat ice cream, what do you think it does to your body?
03:23Oh, I blogged this yesterday.
03:25Well, then tell us about it, Loren.
03:26Then I was reading this at Kiss.
03:27I didn't know it was you that blogged it.
03:29It actually makes you hotter.
03:31How is that possible?
03:33You'll have to go to Kiss951.com and read.
03:35I mean, when eating ice cream in the summer, according to the University of Kansas health system, it's enjoyable, yes, and gives you an instant cooling effect.
03:44But when you eat something with calories, whether it's ice cream or food in general, and your body starts to burn off the fats, it means you actually get warmer.
