00:00Guess what I did on vacation. What? What did you do? I'm going to file my six-gate report of what I did on summer vacation, Dave.
00:08I bought legal marijuana for the first time in New Jersey. For the first time in America, I bought legal THC products.
00:16Yeah, there you go. I have purchased legal THC products in foreign lands.
00:21And you've illegally purchased THC products in America.
00:25Let's be honest. I'm a white kid from the suburbs. THC products have been legal for me for a very, very long time.
00:32All right. I'm just saying, on the books, officially, yes.
00:35However, now, officially, on the books, I went through the process of purchasing recreational THC products for the very first time on vacation.
00:44And I'm pretty damn excited with it.
00:46Now, what did you buy? Was it edibles? Was it smoke itself?
00:52I bought edibles. Was it a lozenge type? Vape pen?
00:56No, it was an edible. It was a lozenge type. A lozenge?
00:59A lozenge.
01:00A lozenge?
01:01A lozenge.
01:02That's hard to say.
01:02Okay, that's interesting now because I, myself, have eaten lots and lots of those edibles.
01:08I enjoy them quite a bit.
01:09Yeah, me too.
01:10I like to go with the candy variety.
01:12Yeah.
01:12But a lozenge, you suck on.
01:15It's a sweet watermelon flavor-esque thing.
01:18But, I mean, you suck on it.
01:19So, here's the deal, though. The process is quite involved for a recreational use person.
01:27But medicinal use, you got your card, you walk in, you got bing, bam, done. You're in. You're out.
01:33But, at least at the location that I went to in Eatontown, I had to order ahead of time, which was, like, literally the first thing I did when I woke up.
01:45Because I tried the previous afternoon and I couldn't get a spot for pickup.
01:50They were completely sold out on pickup time.
01:53They weren't sold out on product.
01:56Yeah.
01:56But they only allow so many people to show up a day to buy it.
02:01Oh, wow.
02:02Because otherwise the line would literally be all the way down Route 35.
02:05I guess then it would run out of product or something, maybe.
02:08Supply and demand.
02:09I had to get on the website first thing.
02:12I picked my time for pickup.
02:14I showed up at that window.
02:15And there was still a wicked long line.
02:18It took maybe 45 minutes.
02:21Jeez.
02:2245, 50 minutes to wait online, get to the front of the line, get in, and purchase my whatnot.
02:27Well, and did you try it out?
02:30Well, that's just an interesting thing.
02:32They don't, unlike other previous situations when I purchased, they don't allow you to try it right there.
02:37Well, no, I'm not saying there, because how the hell are you going to drive with a car if you're stoned on edibles?
02:42But I'm saying, did you try it out at your house?
02:45Now that you purchased it.
02:46Let me just say, it's very effective.
02:48I really want to know about the lozenge.
02:50I've never had a lozenge.
02:51It's like a piece of candy.
02:52Don't get stuck on the delivery device.
02:54No, no, no.
02:54I want to know if you suck on it or if you eat it.
02:58Like, does you let it melt in your mouth?
03:02I think this is just as interesting for listeners.
03:04It's like a jelly covered in sugar that tastes like sour watermelon.
03:11As a Sour Patch fan, you'd probably love it.
03:13You eat it or suck it.
03:14I'm just literally trying to get to the bottom of what you do.
03:17Eat or suck.
03:17It dissolves in your mouth.
03:19If you'd like to chew it, I'm sure that you'd welcome it.
03:21But it's a sucking thing.
03:23It's a sucking thing.
03:24Well, see, because no, because I've never had one of those before.
03:27So that does really intrigue me because I've only ever had candies.
03:31I've never had something that dissolves in your mouth like a mint or a lozenge.
03:35I'd never soft and gummy, soft and gummy.
03:39But here's the thing.
03:40If you I could not get the appointment like in the afternoon to go pick it up that afternoon.
03:47Very interesting.
03:48And I tried this multiple times.
03:50And finally, I was like, well, what's going on?
03:52What are they sold out on this dope?
03:53What's happened?
03:54What's happening?
03:54And then I said, all right, it's six o'clock in the morning.
03:57I'm having coffee.
03:58Let me try it now.
03:59Normally, I'm not thinking six o'clock in the morning.
04:01I'm thinking dope.
04:02Yeah, it's not me anymore.
04:03That was Carling College.
04:05Right, right, right.
04:06So I was like, oh, there's the pickup times.
04:10And that's so.
04:11I had to plan it out very early.
04:13So you have to plan it out.
04:14You have to have your car with some podcasts because it sounds like you're going to be waiting in your car for a long, long time.
04:21Indeed, I was streaming The Rat during the pickup process.
04:25The Rat, you know, WRT.
04:26And the other question.
04:28And when you got in there, is it like Burger King, like McDonald's, Wendy's, you know, drive-thru window?
04:35Or do you go in?
04:36You go in.
04:38It's not okay.
04:39No, it's not drive-thru.
04:40It's not drive-thru.
04:41It's you go in, purchase.
04:42Very controlled situation.
04:45Okay.
04:46Very much the opposite of what the hash bar in Amsterdam looks like.
04:50Right.
04:51You know, tie-dye.
04:52This is probably like minimum amount of people inside the store.
04:55Exactly.
04:55Okay.
04:56Very limited.
04:57I'm getting an idea.
04:58Amount of people.
04:59High security.
05:00Okay.
05:00High security.
05:01But the smell in that place.
05:03It's probably fantastic.
05:04Oh, my God.
05:05But it smells so good.
05:07Final question.
05:08How many milligrams were these lozenges per lozenge?
05:14You could purchase differing amounts.
05:1625, 30 milligrams?
05:19Does that number sound familiar?
05:20That does sound familiar.
05:21Okay.
05:22Yeah, that does sound familiar.
05:23Because I have found in the past that when I eat the edibles, okay, 10 milligrams, they
05:32don't work for me.
05:33And even if you eat three or four, and then you're getting 30 or 40 milligrams, for whatever
05:39reason, they still don't work for me.
05:41However, if I just eat one candy, that's 30 to 40 milligrams by itself.
05:47It does work.
05:48Interesting.
05:48So it's, for me, that's a huge, significant, that's very important for me.
05:53Here's the next item up for discussion is there's a whole different selection and availability
06:00for medicinal use as opposed to recreational.
06:05At least that's my understanding.
06:06And is one stronger than the other?
06:08That is my understanding.
06:09Which one is stronger?
06:11Well, medicinal, of course.
06:12Oh, so I got to get a medicinal card, even though they legalized it?
06:16I mean, you don't have to.
06:19No one's forcing you.
06:21Well, okay.
06:22And the gummy was good, or the lozenge, I should say?
06:26Got me from point A to point B.
