00:10It's just this whole thing's kind of been a blur, so.

00:13When did you get the call from Miranda?

00:15Yesterday.

00:16Wow, wow.

00:17And then you flew out, or were you already here?

00:19Yeah, I flew.

00:19No, I flew straight here, so it's, I don't know.

00:22It's crazy.

00:23You're being very humble.

00:24Who would you call first?

00:26I called my dad.

00:27That's awesome.

00:27So he's been my guy since day one.

00:30So I think he kind of got little tears in his eyes.

00:32I kind of had tears.

00:33I was like, Dad, I won.

00:34So, I don't know.

00:36I don't want to put the pressure on you, but I spoke to Thomas Rhett 10 minutes ago, and

00:40I asked him, because you're on tour with this guy, and I said, what did you text him?

00:45And he said, I texted him a song title.

00:47Yeah.

00:48Texted him a name.

00:49Are you able or allowed to tell us what he texted you?

00:52No, I can't.

00:53Oh, no.

00:54I didn't want to put the pressure.

00:55I knew you would say no, but I had to ask.

00:57He's such a good songwriter, man.

00:58He's always sending me stuff, and he's like, yeah, I just wrote this today.

01:01I'm like, golly, I'm trying to write this record right now.

01:03It ain't going that good.

01:05Send me what you got.

01:06And it's crazy to think that, but he at one point was just like you.

01:11He had songwriters texting him and saying, what do you think of this?

01:13And he's like, are you kidding me?

01:15He just wrote 10 songs at a time it took me to write a chorus.

01:17Yeah, exactly.

01:18I mean, he's just a good guy, man.

01:20He's kind of class, Zach, been on the superstar level for a long time, and he's just been unbelievably

01:25good to me since we very first started talking, so that's a good guy to have in your circle.

01:31Yeah, he's won eight ACMs, and he's nominated for two more, and you won an ACM.

01:37I never remember.

01:37Where are you going to put it in your house?

01:39I don't know.

01:39I didn't even know you got a trophy until this morning.

01:42You just thought it was like a badge of honor?

01:44Yeah, I didn't know you got it, so I don't know.

01:48I'll have to figure out somewhere to put it.

01:51So you flew in yesterday.

01:53Did you already check out Allegiant Stadium, or have you not yet?

01:56We did.

01:56We went soundcheck last night, and it was just nuts.

02:02It's just this whole weekend, I've just been like, what's going on?

02:05Is there something you want to do while you're in Vegas for the next couple days?

02:09You know, the food out here is like the best food in the world.

02:12Yeah, so I always try to just eat like a king when I'm out here.

02:15See, living here, we try not to eat as much, because we know it's there, so you're like,

02:19it's very, very tempting.

02:19I'd be down here all the time, so it's a good thing I don't live here.

02:21What happens in Vegas definitely does when you're eating 7,000 calories a day.

02:26Yeah, exactly.

02:29Are you nervous for your performing?

02:32100%, man.

02:32Yeah?

02:32No doubt I will be.

02:34Do you get nervous before performances?

02:35Oh, so this one is unique.

02:37Well, we were soundchecking yesterday.

02:38I said, I really don't get nervous.

02:40We play some really big shows.

02:41I don't get nervous, and I won't be nervous.

02:44Live TV, I have me a couple drinks before.

02:46What's your drink of choice?

02:47I was just going to ask.

02:48I don't know.

02:49Probably just have a good bourbon on the rocks.

02:50Okay.

02:51Or maybe a shot of tequila or something just to take the edge off.

02:54Get up there and feel and think you're cooler than you really are for two minutes and 30 seconds.

02:58Yeah, but then you're done, and you can just enjoy the time.
