00:21but I think that generally when I've heard those arguments,

00:25they tend to rely on these sort of chain of events that every one of them is sort of implausible and sort of logical leaps.

00:38And so it's never been convincing.

00:40And when I look at their solutions, they tend to talk about how to stop AI development or pause it or delay it.

00:49And I think then you need to think about the opportunity cost.

00:52Even if you take their concerns into account, the opportunity costs of stopping AI are massive.

01:00You know, AI could cure cancer, could help us with drug discovery,

01:05could push standards of living up all over the world.

01:08It is the frontier of technology, and technology has always been the thing that pushed humanity forward.
