Rain clearing in the southwest and Wales, but still persisting in Northern Ireland and Scotland. This will leave a mainly dry day across the country, with cloud about across England and Wales, with the best of the bright spells in the east. Generally close to average temperatures, but a slight breeze will cool North Sea coasts slightly.  - This is the Met Office UK Weather forecast for the morning of 19/04/2025. 00:00Hello there and very good morning to you. We start off this Saturday with a slight

00:05east-west split in conditions. Generally out towards the east it's not too bad at all but

00:10it's low pressure in control for western regions and this is providing a more unsettled theme

00:16overall. We've got continuing outbreaks of rain across many western districts. Those will be heavy

00:21in places and particularly for Northern Ireland and northwestern Scotland they'll be continuing

00:26right throughout much of today. It should be an improving picture though for Wales and southwest

00:30England. Into the afternoon the rain will ease and it will turn drier allowing for a few brighter

00:34spells to develop but the best of any sunnier breaks will certainly be out towards areas of eastern

00:38Scotland and England. Temperatures climbing towards highs of around 15 degrees celsius so in that

00:44sunshine not feeling too bad for the time of year. Though there is still quite a keen breeze coming in

00:49from the east from that north sea direction so if you're exposed to that it will be feeling a touch

00:54cooler in there and also cooler underneath the most persistent cloud and rain in the northwest.

00:59This rain will be lingering into the evening as well particularly for the outer Hebrides parts of

01:04the highlands and Argyle and Butte as well easing off a little bit more overnight for Northern Ireland.

01:09We do also see another system just push its way into the far southeast closer towards dawn on Easter Sunday

01:15as well but elsewhere managing to stay dry. Generally not too chilly of your night our temperatures will be

01:22holding up around four to eight degrees celsius in towns and cities though it will be a touch lower

01:26than that in the countryside and we may get close to freezing in a few sheltered rural spots.

01:32But for Easter Sunday itself then away from the far northwest and the far southeast where those two

01:37systems are in play it's not too bad of a day overall. There'll be plentiful amounts of sunshine for

01:42the bulk of Scotland Northern England down into Wales as well and generally lighter winds around

01:48tomorrow should make for a relatively pleasant feel as well. A bit of a breeze still lingering

01:52around some coastal districts particularly where you do have those showers and slightly longer

01:56spells of rain in there. But with the sunshine temperatures climbing towards that 15-16 degrees

02:01celsius a bit more widely particularly for the northwest once the rain does clear off into the

02:05afternoon it will be feeling a touch more pleasant here. There may be a few spots where we even see

02:09higher than these values here. But the sunshine is not going to last for all of us as we head into the last

02:16stage of this bank holiday weekend. Low pressure will be returning and bringing more weather fronts

02:22our way so further spells of rain are possible and the showers will also become a bit more widespread

02:28particularly for England, Wales and Northern Ireland. There could be some heavy ones around

02:32on Monday. It's looking like Scotland will be the driest of the nations and with the best of any of that

02:38sunshine still lingering on at times. We'll have plenty more updates of what you can expect over the
