00:00Hi, in this video, we are going to go over how you can view your budgets within Salesforce.
00:08Now to start off with, there are two basic ways in which how you can view your budgets.
00:16So let's go over each of those.
00:20So the first way to look at your budgets is through the budgets tab that you see from the home screen or from anyone else.
00:28This is a dedicated tab, and it looks very much, again, like any of the other tabs when you click into it.
00:35This time, it will only show you budget information and a budget list view.
00:40So if I'm logged in as an AE Julie in this case and click on the budgets tab, I'll be brought to this list of recently viewed budgets.
00:50Again, with any object, when you click into it for the first time, you'll be brought to the recently viewed list and not the other.
00:59So if you have to change your view, just click on the arrow beside it.
01:04And let's just click on my budgets.
01:06Keep in mind that as an AE, you're only allowed to see your own budget.
01:11So even if you click on any of these other list views, you'll still be only seeing your budgets, and other reps will only be able to see their own ones as well.
01:21So now that I'm on my budgets, you can see this is capturing all of my budgets that are in the system as of now.
01:32So I can click into a budget simply by clicking on any of the links here, and then it will show me a lot more details regarding my budget, my pacing information related to this budget, and also sort of the parameters that define this budget in terms of the market, the brand, the particular product family.
01:56You'll get an idea about the amount, and that it's been associated to this particular rep, Julie, in this case.
02:06So this is quite an easy way to view your budgets.
02:10However, let's say you want to look at a specific opportunity and see how that corresponds to your budget.
02:19So if you click on the budgets tabs, in this case, it might be a little hard for you to find the appropriate month and then go looking from there from this list of budgets.
02:31So in this case, if you want a more opportunity specific way to view your budget, we can do it through the second way, which I'm going to demonstrate now.
02:40So right now, I'm within this particular opportunity, and I have some projections added to it and also some projected revenue.
02:52Now, in my revenue tabs, whether it be projected or Marketron revenue, whichever one is populated, we've mentioned before that the link between budgets and your opportunity or deal is established through the revenue split portion that you see within the revenue tabs.
03:13So if I click into a particular revenue split based on the month that the revenue is allocated for, I arrive at this revenue split record page.
03:31And on this page, there's a section called budget information, and it will have a link to the particular budget corresponding to this particular revenue split for this month and for this opportunity.
03:46So if I click on the budget record, again, I'm brought to the same budget page.
03:52However, I've arrived at it in a slightly different way.
03:56And at a glance, I now have an idea that that particular revenue split from that revenue corresponds to this budget record.
04:05So we've gone over two different ways to basically arrive at the same record page.
04:12So that's how you can access your budgets.
04:15You can obviously get us more visual look at your budgets from your dashboard.
04:22Which is what you see over here.
04:26So hope this was helpful.
