00:00i didn't even realize president clinton has written a book okay but like a fiction with that

00:11like he's one of the best-selling authors in the country james patterson okay he they co-wrote a

00:17book about i believe what would happen if the president got kidnapped or something like that

00:22i didn't realize that he wrote fiction i didn't either i knew he had a book about himself he's

00:26got some crazy the president somebody who's a former president had crazy insight to ask what

00:31would happen if the yeah right and i think that's why james patterson wanted him wanted him to be a

00:37part of this book because to get some real real scary real perspective on yeah it's called the

00:44president is missing a thriller where am i about uh the president combating both a cyber attack

00:51look under desks i'm probably under there i was actually just in a brothel i didn't

00:56we found him so we found him yeah a new political thriller is called the president is missing

01:02anyway so they've been out promoting this right and as you can imagine it they you know they talk

01:07a little bit about the book and then everyone's like hard-hitting questions yeah right let's get

01:10him while we got him who cares about the book right that's what they did on the today show um reporter

01:15craig melvin was talking and did the fluff bit about the book and let's talk the weird part is

01:22the uh that james patterson this author is old as dirt he's sitting there too during this whole thing

01:27and then it gets heated talking about malik monica lewinski here's how it played out on the today show

01:35one of the things that this this me too era has done it's forced a lot of women uh to speak out

01:40one of those women monica lewinski she wrote in an op-ed that the me too movement changed her view

01:45of sexual harassment quote he was my boss he was the most powerful man on the planet he was 27 years

01:51my senior with enough life experience to know better he was at the time at the pinnacle of his career

01:55while i was in my first job uh out of college looking back on what happened then through the lens

02:01of me too now do you do you think differently or feel more responsibility no i felt terrible then

02:09and i came to grips with it did you ever apologize and no yes and nobody believes

02:16that i got out of that for free you are giving one side and omitting facts mr president i i'm not

02:24i'm not trying to present a side no no i'm you asked me if i agreed the answer is no i don't and i

02:30asked if you'd ever apologized and you said you had i have you've apologized i apologize to everybody

02:35in the world but you didn't apologize to her i have not talked to her do you feel like you owe her

02:40an apology no i do i i i do not i have never talked to her and you don't think a private apology

02:48so i think this thing has been it's 20 years ago come on this is the other guy let's talk about you

03:01yikes that was very that was unbelievably awkward yeah i always feel like it's just some guy trying

03:10to make a big moment for himself that's what he wants that the that guy it's a gotcha kind of

03:19mr magoo he does i didn't realize he's 112 sounds rough these days okay the old guy's yawning
