Funding for the Department of Economy through Ulster University has allowed us to provide

services for a wide range of our groups from parents and toddlers, the youth group and our

over 50s group. That allowed us to show that the university was having a direct impact into their lives.

Being in really close proximity to Ulster University, we obviously think it's really important

to build a relationship with the university and it's important for the young people to understand

that there are different routes as well in the university for them too. So it's really important

for us to let them know about all the different things that the university is doing for the

community and for the area as well, but also the collaboration and the partnership that we've built

with the university has allowed us to introduce some of our young people to the likes of the library.

So when they've been doing some research and things, they've been able to go in and find journals

or books or like e-resources that has helped them with the things like their GCSE and A-levels,

which is just phenomenal.
