00:00The office team at TIB are amazing. Their communication is excellent. Whenever I'm

00:10available for a new job they always come up with opportunities for me. They also come back with

00:17feedback from the schools so if they've had some really good feedback, which I've only ever had

00:22good feedback, they always come with those sound bites for me and tell me how well I've done and

00:26how pleased the school is. I was very impressed by the professional way in which TIB interviewed me

00:35initially, taking me through the online training and the DBS checks in particular. TIB is the only

00:43agency which specialises in recruiting site staff for schools, filling caretaker, site manager, site

00:49supervisor, premises officer and all of the other related estates roles. We look for candidates

00:54from very specific professional backgrounds. They're mainly mature candidates with very strong

00:59transferable skills so we look for people from the emergency services, people from the military,

01:03engineering and trade backgrounds. So I originally applied to join TIB services and retired from the

01:10police, I'd retired from local government but I really wanted to get back to using my practical

01:14skills that I had and I thought I'd be able to use those to put them to good use in schools. I'd seen

01:18an advertisement about TIB services and felt that I had the sort of skill set that was required for

01:23that. So I did apply. So during the recruitment process TIB became aware that in my previous life

01:29I'd been involved in interviewing with the local government and also had a safeguarding background

01:34so I was asked if I would be interested in joining the interview team to interview candidates which I was

01:40quite excited about because I enjoy talking to people. The things that make good caretakers and site

01:47staff are the can-do attitude, you've got to be willing to help at a moment's notice,

01:54sometimes not all the time but and be proactive as well. I was interested in this particular the TIB

02:00system because it has a jump in jump out attitude so I can continue doing some of my gardening which I

02:08enjoy doing but I did want to cut down. The training that is given online is very easy to follow,

02:14very comprehensive, gives you a good background so when you go into the schools you've got that

02:20background knowledge which is also important. Well working for TIB is actually an ideal position

02:25really because it is flexible enough for me to be able to do what I would normally want to do during

02:30the day. I've got grandchildren so I do the school run with them, I walk their dog. I want to be able to

02:36do that if I was still in full-time employment. For a company like TIB to offer me a position that is as

02:40flexible as this, I couldn't walk for more. But equally I was learning on the job, people were

02:45quite happy to show me things that I didn't know, everybody has to do something once in their life

02:51and as long as you're flexible to pick things up nice and quickly then it seems to be the way to go.

02:57Yeah I would recommend a friend to join TIB services for two reasons really, one is that it's a great

03:03environment to work in within a school but secondly as a company TIB provide a really good supportive

03:08environment for the operatives to work in. I would recommend working with TIB, they take any stress

03:15out of things it's easy and they are looking for work for you, they are looking for you.
