00:00Hello, good morning, welcome to your latest Met Office forecast and low pressure is really
00:05dominating this week's weather. We've got unsettled conditions across the UK bringing
00:11areas of rain at times, some stronger winds, some heavy showers but there will be some sunny spells
00:15at times too but it stays unsettled right through into the Easter weekend. We have some heavy rain
00:21this morning particularly across western parts of the UK, Northern Ireland and into Wales. The
00:26West Country seeing some heavy bursts of rain, could be some localised flooding, some travel
00:30disruption if you are on the roads. Met Office warnings remaining in force through the day
00:35across Northern Ireland where we stay cloudy across many northern parts of the UK. Northern
00:40England, parts of Scotland seeing outbreaks of rain too which could be heavy at times. All this
00:45accompanied by some strong winds too, gales possible around the coast and over the hills. Blustery
00:50conditions across the rest of England and Wales too with some scattered showers developing but
00:55also plenty of sunny spells and in that sunshine temperatures lifting towards the mid-teens. 15,
01:0016, maybe 17 Celsius but under the cloud, the wind and the rain it will be quite cold. Temperatures
01:06struggling in some places to reach double figures. Just the far north of Scotland also seeing some
01:11drier and brighter weather. However this low pressure system is moving its way northward so rain soon
01:17arriving here and overnight what we'll see is clearer skies across parts of Northern Ireland down into Wales
01:23and the Midlands where we could see a touch of frost in the countryside. Some showers moving in
01:28across southern counties of England as well but generally northern England into Scotland it stays
01:33cloudy but the rain starting to ease and we can see temperatures under the cloud generally holding
01:38up five, six Celsius but in the countryside we could be closer to freezing. So it is a mixed start to
01:44Thursday. Some sunshine for Northern Ireland, Wales, the Midlands into Yorkshire and Lincolnshire.
01:49Elsewhere a mixture of scattered showers. Cloudier skies across Northern England into Scotland with
01:54still some outbreaks of rain as this low pressure system starts to pull away. An afternoon of sunshine
01:59and scattered showers for many but winds much lighter compared to Wednesday. Temperatures generally
02:04near average for the time of year. Any sheltered spots in the south reaching around 15 or 16 Celsius.
02:10And then we'll see further outbreaks of heavy rain moving in for Good Friday and then further
02:16unsettled weather for the Easter weekend. If you'd like more information on this follow us on our social
02:21media channel. See you soon.
