Emergency services were called to a home in Geham, Toowoomba, where they found a house engulfed in flames. Police have confirmed a body was discovered once the fire was extinguished and it was safe to enter the home. A 45-year-old has since been charged with murder, domestic violence offences and one count of arson.

00:00Firefighters were called to a rural property on Strack Road in GM in the very early hours
00:08of yesterday morning. When they arrived they found a house fully engulfed in flames and
00:13it took crews a number of hours to be able to put it out. Now two children were located
00:17safe on the property but unfortunately once that home was deemed safe to enter investigators
00:23located a body inside. Now that person is yet to be formally identified however the process
00:30is well underway according to police. Now a crime scene was quickly established and a local
00:36task force from the Toowoomba CIB was put onto the case and yesterday afternoon they arrested
00:43a 45 year old man in Redcliffe north of Brisbane which is about a two and a half hour drive
00:49from GM. Now that man has been charged with murder, domestic violence offence which is
00:55a separate category and arson and anyone with information is urged to contact Crimestoppers.
