00:00in the start of the 2025 pfl tournament season and we got it kicked off first main event you

00:06had the welterweights going on jason jackson andre koreshkov jackson of course the ass kicking

00:11machine the jamaican the 34 year old coming in there going against the russian koreshkov and

00:15this was one that uh people were feeling especially us that this could have been a finals

00:19matchup but instead we get the first round get as the main event and it did not disappoint as

00:24the ass kicking machine has a great performance koreshkov had his moments but you know especially

00:29as you got into the second round jason jackson started doing what he wanted to do started

00:33picking apart there were some shots from both guys with the clinch in the first round moving back and

00:38forth uh jackson threw a big shot right before the end of the round that he just missed on i thought

00:42he won that round 10-9 and a close one then round two jackson goes right after koreshkov toss him to

00:47the ground starts to you know try to get position starts to try to do different things with him

00:51eventually later on you know gets the back takes it starts throwing shots starts doing different

00:56things and gets the rear naked choke and ends up getting the victory with just over a minute left

01:03a great job by him uh there was a little issues at one point when he had the back when he

01:08you know kind of caught him what the ref said was the back of the head you listen to broadcast it

01:12sound to them like it was you know not the area that needs to be protected but you saw the blood

01:16he gave koreshkov uh his time he took the full five minutes kind of you know recalibrate and make

01:21sure he was okay before they let the fight continue once they did jackson right back to taking him

01:25down right back to the ground gets the rear naked choke gets the finish as koreshkov doesn't tap just

01:31goes lights out and you get jason jackson with the victory koreshkov is now 28 and 6 jason jackson

01:36now 19 and 5 but he moves on into the next round of the tournament where he'll face thad gene who we'll

01:42talk about later on talk about his fight that was on the prelim card but jackson in his interview

01:46after the fight saying he's been working on the bjg bjj a lot and there'll be a lot more of that

01:51coming in the future let's listen to him in his post fight hey i called my shot and i delivered

01:56tonight y'all remember that remember the face jason the ass-hicking machine coming for blood i got it

02:03now of course since gene won earlier in the night they brought him into the face-offs as this was the

02:09main event and at first they were respectful it looked like they were you know going to be

02:14opponents but not be you know jerks to each other and then all of a sudden shoving starts back talking

02:19starts so these guys will get into it i'll hear both of them talk about each other can't wait to

02:24see that matchup when it materializes it won that again uh could be a finals kind of could be a finals

02:29but instead it's gonna be the semis we'll talk more about the rest of that tournament then all is

02:33the co-main event you had featherweights there's just pineto getting back into action against adam

02:36borch another guy who's been out for a while uh of course borch was big belt belt or fighter 2022

02:42was the last time we saw him fight pineto 2023 pfl featherweight champion i've not seen him since

02:47november 2023 and this really was uh a little bit back and forth early on borch had some good shots

02:53but towards the end of the first round pineto just starts opening up starts getting you know a good

02:58body kick on borch then follows it up with the left-right combo to you know shake borch a little bit

03:04smells blood in the water attacks gets the finish as borch just tries to turtle up and protect

03:09himself the ref steps in and you get the win by jesus pineto who moves on to the next round of the

03:15tournament must have felt good to get back in there and get a victory after almost a couple years here

03:20off at least a year and a half off for him borch now 19 and 3 in mma pineto is now 24 6 and 1 in mma

03:26says he feels good sharp and ready says nothing against braga who he will be going against gabriel braga

03:31earlier we'll get into his fight later on but you know he's a good person he respects him but that

03:38he is going to break him when they meet again these guys have history of course and now we get to see

03:42them again in the semi-finals in an epic matchup should be a great battle
