‘It’s destroying the art of conversation’: are kids online too much?

With kids spending more and more time online gaming, we’re asking people if they believe it’s too much, or just a sign of the times?

00:00Now I think it just destroys the art of conversation. Their life skills are not very

00:06good. I don't mean they're not all like that. My one nephew, Laurie, he's a real, he plays rugby,

00:13he's out and about, he does a bit on the laptop, he's got an IT, but he doesn't take over his life,

00:17a couple of hours a week maybe. But I've got friends and I've got children and they're on it

00:22two to three hours most nights. And I think people with children in prams to keep them

00:29quiet, they give them gaming tablets. That's not good, I don't think. So, no, they ought to get out more.

00:39Like this, ridiculous. When we were growing up, we couldn't wait to get outside and play

00:45and join in and have fun. There's no fun today with these kids today. They're not out there looking

00:51for adventure. They're all trying to be something that they're not. We had fun. We went out

00:58to conquer it. Marvels.
