00:00Let's start by talking about the latest you're hearing about the situation on the ground.

00:04We've got these conflicting reports regarding the flow of aid.

00:08There are some reports that the aid is being blocked.

00:11What's your assessment?

00:12Is aid reaching those who need it most there in Myanmar?

00:15Thanks for having me.

00:16The good news is that the government has invited foreign aid into the country, so we are able

00:23to get to Mandalay, as you've just said, the city that's been impacted the most.

00:28The problem is that the earthquake has affected many rural areas around Mandalay, including

00:33the town of Sagin, which is contested in the war.

00:37It is very complex.

00:39We've worked there since 2008.

00:41We've worked through all of the conflict that's happened.

00:43So we're finding ways to deliver using and working with local organisational partners,

00:49but it is not straightforward.
