We ask Glaswegians if they’ve noticed the cost of summer holidays increasing

With the rising costs of summer holidays more people are apparently reconsidering their yearly getaway. We ask Glaswegians for their experience.

00:00Well, I don't really go in for big expensive holidays anyway. We always go to Barra and

00:06the Outer Hebrides in the summer and no, we can still afford that.

00:11Well, yeah, I have been because it's so expensive now. I usually go to America but it's just

00:17kind of went out the window just now. So, to tell you the truth, I won't be going anywhere

00:22this year. I don't have any plans to go anywhere as it has been so expensive. Even if you want

00:29to go somewhere in Scotland, it's so expensive too. I mean, you're trying to get accommodation

00:34and then somewhere you want to have somewhere that you want to go and eat. It's just, I

00:38don't know, the world just went crazy I think with prices.

00:42Well, I've not really been away for a few years. My partner's mobile so I've not been

00:47away for about four or five years.

00:49Have you noticed a difference or anything when you're maybe looking at places to stay
