00:00Pinch-punch 1st of the month. April starts as March ended. In fact, all of March was pretty dry and pretty sunny.

00:08And that's how much of the next few days are going to go. It's a bit grey and murky over parts of central and eastern England.

00:14A few fog patches, but they're melting away fairly rapidly this morning.

00:18Maybe a little bit of mist and low cloud at times on some of these North Sea coasts.

00:22Certainly a bit more breeze blowing again across southern England and South Wales.

00:26Certainly a little fresh. Most places enjoying a fine and sunny spring day.

00:32Certainly a sunnier day for much of Northern Ireland and Scotland compared to yesterday.

00:36And temperatures will be higher too across the north-west of Scotland.

00:39The Highlands may be the warm spot today. 18, 19, perhaps even 20 Celsius.

00:44Feeling pretty warm too for north Wales, north-west England.

00:47With a breeze in the south, it'll feel a little cooler here and certainly a little fresh on some of those North Sea coasts.

00:53A feature of the weather increasingly as we go through the rest of this week too.

00:57But so will those largely clear skies. Certainly overnight tonight, it'll stay pretty clear.

01:03Maybe a little bit of mist and low cloud sitting over some hills.

01:07But generally, clear skies through the night. Still a bit of a breeze blowing in the south.

01:11That'll keep the temperatures a little higher here.

01:14But with some shelter, with the lightest winds over the heart of Scotland,

01:18temperatures could certainly dip down close to freezing through some sheltered glens.

01:21Down to 2 or 3 Celsius in towns and cities 5 to 6 further south.

01:26But a fresh feel tomorrow morning, just like this morning.

01:29But again, for most, another sparkling day of spring sunshine.

01:33Perhaps a bit more of a breeze around the coast of East Anglia and up towards North Yorkshire.

01:39That will be noticeable on the coast itself.

01:41And again, a cool feeling breeze across the south.

01:44But generally, temperatures just ticking up a little higher on Wednesday.

01:47More widely in the mid to high teens.

01:50But cooler on those eastern coasts with the breeze coming in from the North Sea.

01:55Notice some low cloud lurking there out in the North Sea as well.

01:59That could just start to drift in under the influence of high pressure.

02:03The high that's around at the moment actually gives way to another one building from the north.

02:07And as that does so, it allows more of a flow to come in from the North Sea.

02:13Could draw in a little bit more of a chill and certainly more low cloud by Friday.

02:17Small chance of a shower or two in the southwest on Thursday.

02:20But otherwise, a lot of dry weather through this week.
