00:00Good morning to all. This is the latest weather update for Monday, March 31, 2025.
00:09At the moment, the low-pressure area we are monitoring is outside of our Philippine Area of Responsibility.
00:16But even if it is outside of PAR, it is still possible for rain to fall, especially here in Kalayaan Islands and Palawan.
00:24Meanwhile, in most parts of our country, the Easter Lease is still in effect, or the hot wind coming from the Pacific Ocean.
00:33And because of the Easter Lease, we can still experience the rains, especially in the eastern part of our country.
00:39And if we look at our latest satellite animation, we can see clouds over the northern part of Visayas and Mindanao.
00:47These clouds are possible for rain to fall in the western sections of Visayas as well as the Mindanao area, as well as here in Palawan this morning.
00:57In the next few days, we expect that the low-pressure area outside of PAR will continue to melt or possibly melt.
01:04And the effect of this LPA will be gone in any part of our country.
01:08So for the next few days, we expect the Easter Lease to melt in a large part of our country.
01:12This means that isolated thunderstorms will be more frequent, especially in the eastern sections of our country.
01:20So let's monitor the thunderstorm advisory issued by our regional services divisions.
01:27So the weather will change here in Luzon.
01:31As a result of the effect of the Easter Lease, we expect rains here in Quezon and also in Bicol Region.
01:38Meanwhile, here in the Batanes area, we will also experience weak rains due to the effect of the northeasterly wind flow.
01:45This is the wind coming from the north coast.
01:48For the rest of Luzon, we will continue to experience partly cloudy to cloudy conditions.
01:55If there are rains, these are just a few of the thunderstorms that are more frequent in the afternoon and at night.
02:02Temperature forecast for the neighboring cities.
02:05Here in Luzon, in Metro Manila, we expect to reach 33 degrees Celsius maximum temperatures today.
02:12And it is still hot in Tuguegarao, which can reach 34 degrees Celsius.
02:17In Lawag, 25 to 32 degrees.
02:20In Baguio, 17 to 26 degrees Celsius.
02:23In Tagay, we can reach 31 degrees Celsius maximum temperatures.
02:26And 24 to 30 degrees for Legazpi City.
02:30For the rest of the country, due to the effect of the Easter Lease,
02:35there will be low-pressure areas where we can still experience rains in some parts of Visayas, Mindanao and Palawan.
02:43Here in the eastern part of Visayas, Surigao del Norte and Dinagat Islands,
02:48it is also possible to experience rains due to the effect of the Easter Lease.
02:52And also here in Zamboanga Peninsula.
02:55And here in Palawan, we also expect rains due to the effect of the low-pressure area,
03:02even if it is outside of our Philippine Area of Responsibility.
03:06For the rest of Visayas and Mindanao, we have partly cloudy to cloudy conditions today.
03:11And if there are rains, it will be due to isolated thunderstorms, especially in the afternoon and at night.
