00:01Happy Friday to all of us, I'm Benison Estareja.

00:05Today is the last day of January,

00:06we still have a strong North-East Monsoon,

00:09especially in the Northern and Central region,

00:12which sometimes brings strong rains,

00:14especially in the Eastern sites.

00:16Meanwhile, the Easterly, or the wind from the East,

00:19is still blowing in the Southern region,

00:21Visayas and Mindanao,

00:22and it's still getting stronger.

00:24It means that over the weekend,

00:25it will be hot and humid in a large part of our country.

00:29Based on our latest satellite animation,

00:31we don't see any typhoons or low-pressure areas,

00:34and there are no weather disturbances

00:36in the first few days of February.

00:39Today, we still have heavy rains

00:41in some parts of the Northern and Central region

00:43because of the humidity.

00:44We still have heavy rains here in Cagayan Valley,

00:48Cordillera Administrative Region,

00:50Laloiga ng Aurora, and Quezon.

00:52It's possible that the rain will reach up to 100 mm

00:55in the Eastern portion of mainland Cagayan,

00:58the Eastern Isabela, and the northern part of Aurora,

01:01so be careful.

01:02For possible floods and landslides,

01:04bring an umbrella if necessary.

01:08Meanwhile, in the Ilocos Region,

01:10the rest of Central Luzon, Metro Manila, and Rizal

01:13will also be affected by the Northeast Monsoon.

01:15It's expected that the weather will get worse

01:17and it will be accompanied by weak rains,

01:19especially in Metro Manila, Rizal,

01:21Bulacan, and Nueva Ecija.

01:24So make sure to bring an umbrella

01:26for the rest of Northern and Central Luzon.

01:30Here in the Calabarzon, Bicol Region, and Mimaropa,

01:34there are still places where it will rain

01:37even though it won't be strong and continuous

01:39unlike it was 103 days ago.

01:41Because of the Easter lease, it's a bit hot

01:43and it's usually sunny.

01:44There's a chance of isolated rain showers or thunderstorms.

01:48When it comes to temperature in Metro Manila,

01:50it's still a bit cold, between 23 to 30 degrees Celsius.

01:53While it's still colder in the Cordillera Region,

01:55it's between 15 to 23 degrees in Baguio City.

01:59In Palawan, it will still rain in the Central and Southern portions

02:04because of the Easter lease.

02:06While here in Visayas, the weather conditions

02:08will be fair and sunny,

02:11especially in the morning and afternoon

02:13over the Western and Central portions of Visayas.

02:16While in Eastern Visayas, it will also be less rainy.

02:19It's because of the shear line

02:21plus the Easter lease that we're building for the weather system.

02:24There's a chance of isolated rain showers or thunderstorms.

02:28Our temperature in Metro Cebu is between 26 to 31 degrees Celsius.

02:33And for our fellow citizens in Mindanao,

02:35the fair weather conditions will continue

02:37despite the weather in many places in the morning.

02:40By the afternoon, because of the Easter lease,

02:42it will be hot and sunny.

02:44And from dusk to dusk, there will be places where it will rain

02:47even though it will only last for one to two hours

02:50usually because of the thunderstorms

02:52especially in the Carraga and Davao region.

02:55For today, it will still be hot in Zamboanga City

02:58up to 33 degrees Celsius

03:00as well as Jensan, Cotabato City,

03:02here in Butuan, while in Davao City,

03:05up to 32 degrees Celsius.

03:08For now, because our Northeast monsoon is still strong,

03:11we still have gale warning or high waves

03:14here in the coastal areas of Luzon and Visayas

03:17up to 4.5 meters

03:19for this morning,

03:21in northwestern Ilocos Norte,

03:23mainland Cagayan,

03:25below Isabela, Aurora,

03:27northern and southern Quezon,

03:28as well as the Polilio Islands,

03:30here in the northern portion of Occidental Mindoro

03:33and Oriental Mindoro,

03:34southern Batangas,

03:35Camarines Norte,

03:36northern Camarines Sur,

03:38northern and eastern Catanduanes,

03:40below eastern Albayan,

03:41eastern Sosogon,

03:42up to northern Samar,

03:44where it is possible for high waves

03:46and small sea vessels to be prohibited

03:48especially for fishermen.

03:50It is also possible for the low tide over this weekend,

03:53possibly by tomorrow morning,

03:54the gale warning will be lifted.

03:57And for our 4-day weather forecast,

04:00as we mentioned earlier,

04:01there will be a warm easterly

04:03in most of the country

04:04up to the first two days of February,

04:07but there are still places where it will rain,

04:09such as Davao Region,

04:11Soxalgen,

04:12Bangsamoro Region,

04:13and nearby areas

04:14here in Central and Eastern Mindanao.

04:17So bring an umbrella

04:18and be careful of flooding

04:20and landslides.

04:21While in the remaining part of the country,

04:23our weather will improve

04:24here in the eastern Luzon,

04:25the affected areas of Amihan and Shirline,

04:28and it will continue to be hot

04:29and sometimes cloudy skies

04:31here in the remaining part of Luzon

04:33plus Visayas.

04:34Then when February 3 ends,

04:36when the wind of Northeast Monsoon

04:38will start to rise again,

04:40and that will be our scenario

04:41for the rest of February.

04:43Sometimes the winds of Northeast Monsoon

04:44will be strong,

04:45so there will be a cold temperature again,

04:48especially in the middle of next week.

04:50There are still places where it will rain

04:52due to Northeast Monsoon

04:53such as Cagayan Valley,

04:55Cordillera Region,

04:56and also here in Aurora.

04:58While in the remaining part of Luzon,

04:59Visayas,

05:00and Mindanao,

05:01partly cloudy to cloudy skies,

05:02there is also a chance of rain

05:04or thunderstorms.
