00:01Good morning from Pag-asa Weather Forecasting Center.

00:04The time is now Monday, January 27, 2025.

00:11In our latest satellite images, we can see that we are not monitoring any low-pressure area.

00:16We don't have any typhoons inside and outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility.

00:21And this January, there is a small chance, based on our latest data, that we will have a typhoon.

00:28Meanwhile, the north-east monsoons will bring mild rains, particularly in parts of Batanes.

00:37While in other parts of Luzon, we will experience isolated or mild rains.

00:43But generally, it will be fair weather in large parts of Luzon.

00:47As for the easterlies, this is the wind from the Pacific Ocean,

00:50which will bring cloudy skies with rains, particularly here in the eastern part of Visayas and Mindanao.

00:57And we can see that the shear line will be weak in the next few days

01:01because the shear line is the boundary between the north-east monsoons,

01:05the cold north-east monsoons, and the hot easterlies.

01:09So we can see that in this part, especially in the eastern Visayas,

01:12in the next few days, there will be clouds that can bring strong rains.

01:20Meanwhile, in other parts of Visayas and Mindanao,

01:23we will continue to experience isolated rain showers and thunderstorms,

01:27like the easterlies and localized thunderstorms.

01:31Here in Luzon, we are still expecting mild rains,

01:35particularly in parts of Batanes.

01:39Meanwhile, in other parts of Luzon, we will continue to experience isolated or mild rains.

01:47But we can see generally fair weather, especially in the northern part of Luzon.

01:52Temperature outside is 21-30°C,

01:55in the area around 22-31°C,

01:5814-24°C.

02:00We are hoping that the temperature inside Cordillera will continue to drop.

02:05This is the area of Baguio.

02:07In Metro Manila, 23-32°C,

02:10in Tagaytay, 21-30°C,

02:13and in Legazpi, 23-30°C.

02:18In other parts of Palawan, Visayas and Mindanao,

02:21we are still expecting localized thunderstorms in Palawan,

02:24isolated rain showers and thunderstorms.

02:27Temperature outside Kalayaan Islands, 25-32°C,

02:31in Puerto Princesa, 25-32°C.

02:35There is a high chance that it will rain in the eastern Visayas,

02:40and eventually we will have a shear line

02:43that will bring rain in the eastern Visayas

02:47until the central Visayas in the next few days.

02:50Meanwhile, isolated rain showers and thunderstorms

02:53will be experienced in the Maynegos Island region,

02:56in the area of the western Visayas and central Visayas.

02:59Temperature outside Iloilo, 26-32°C,

03:02in Tacloban, 25-31°C,

03:05while in Cebu, 26-31°C.

03:09Meanwhile, just like the easterlies,

03:11we are also expecting a high chance of rain in the area of Caraga,

03:14particularly in Dinagat Island, Rigao del Norte and Rigao del Sur.

03:18There is also a high chance of rain,

03:20particularly in the area of Davao Oriental.

03:23In most parts of Mindanao,

03:25isolated rain showers and thunderstorms

03:28will be experienced on this day.

03:31Temperature outside Buanga, 24-33°C,

03:34in Cagayan de Oro, 24-31°C,

03:37and in Davao, 24-33°C.

03:41Meanwhile, we have a high gale warning today,

03:44particularly in the area of Batanes and Babuyan Islands.

03:47We are still warning our countrymen,

03:49especially for small sea vehicles,

03:52to avoid sailing out to the northern part,

03:54the northern bay of Hilagan-Luzon,

03:56because the sea will be unstable.

03:58This is the tip of the northeast monsoon,

04:01which may continue until the next few days.
