00:00Good morning to all of us. This is the latest weather update for the day of Tuesday, January 28, 2025.

00:08At present, we are still expecting rain in some parts of our country,

00:13followed by the continuous effect of weather systems that continue to affect our climate.

00:19Here in a part of Visayas, we can see the clouds that are still raining and reaching here in Palawan.

00:25That is the shear line or the collision of cold and hot winds.

00:29And because of the shear line here, we expect a large part of Visayas,

00:33just like here in Palawan, we will experience rainy weather today.

00:39Just like here in Mindanao, we are also expecting rainy weather.

00:43That is followed by the effect of easterlies or the hot winds coming from the Pacific Ocean.

00:50In a part of Luzon, the northeast monsoon or the cold wind is still blowing.

00:55That is why we are also expecting the possibility of light to moderate rains,

01:00especially in the eastern part of northern Luzon today.

01:04And in the following days, the effect of the northeast monsoon will gradually increase.

01:09The rains will fall in the eastern sections of the Luzon area.

01:13Meanwhile, the shear line will gradually reduce the effects.

01:17So these rains will also gradually decrease in the following days,

01:22especially in Visayas, Mindanao, and also in the Palawan area.

01:27So we know that the weather will be good today in the surrounding cities here in our country.

01:33Here in Luzon, the effect of the northeast monsoon or the cold wind will be rainy

01:38or the weather will be gloomy with light to moderate rains in the part of Cagayan,

01:44as well as in Isabela.

01:46Meanwhile, for the rest of Luzon, we are expecting generally fair weather conditions

01:51except for the chances of light to moderate rains or storms.

01:59As for the temperature forecast in the surrounding cities here in Luzon area,

02:04our temperatures will be slightly cooler because we are expecting the effect of the northeast monsoon to be strong again.

02:11Outside, the maximum temperature will be around 22 to 28 degrees Celsius

02:16as well as the maximum temperature in the Tuguegarao area.

02:19In Baguio, the maximum temperature will be 14 to 21 degrees Celsius,

02:2331 degrees Celsius for Metro Manila today,

02:2730 degrees Celsius for Legazpi,

02:29and the maximum temperature in Tagaytay will be around 19 to 27 degrees Celsius.

02:36For Palawan, Visayas, as well as Mindanao area,

02:45scattered rain showers or thunderstorms will be possible due to the effect of the shear line

02:50as well as the Easter lease.

02:52The weather will be gloomy throughout the day

02:54and it will be accompanied by light to moderate rains.

03:02As for the temperature forecast in the surrounding cities here in Palawan,

03:06for Calayaan Islands,

03:07the maximum temperature will be 30 degrees Celsius as we are expecting today

03:11and 29 degrees Celsius for Puerto Princesa.

03:15For Visayas area,

03:17in Iloilo, our maximum temperature will be 31 degrees Celsius,

03:2130 degrees Celsius for Metro Cebu,

03:23and in Tacloban, it will be 24 to 29 degrees Celsius.

03:28And for Mindanao,

03:30our temperature will be 23 to 32 degrees Celsius for Zamboanga,

03:3530 degrees Celsius maximum temperature for Cagayan de Oro,

03:39and for Metro Davao, it will be 25 to 30 degrees Celsius.

03:45As for the condition of our ocean,

03:47we are expecting high waves or gale warnings

03:51in the coastal areas of the northern zone,

03:53particularly in the coastal areas of Batanes,

03:56Babuyan Islands, mainland Cagayan, Isabela,

03:59and here in the western coasts of the northern zone,

04:02in Ilocos Norte and Ilocos Sur.

04:05This means that we are expecting high waves up to very high seas,

04:09so it is very dangerous,

04:11especially for our countrymen who have small ocean vehicles.
