00:00The government is focusing on addressing the rise of cyberattacks in the country.

00:05According to Palace Press Officer Attorney Claire Castro,

00:09the government is working to improve cyberspace through better internet connectivity,

00:14as directed by President Marcos, Jr.,

00:17to newly appointment Department of Information and Communication Technology,

00:21or DICT, Secretary Henry Aguda.

00:24Jose Castro stressed that due to the evolving tactics of cybercrime,

00:29the government needs to update its steps and regulations to combat threats.

00:34Additionally, there is coordination between the Presidential Communications Office, or PCO,

00:39and DICT to fight the spread of fake news online.
