00:00Independent preacher Zamri Winoth has been arrested by police over a Facebook posting

00:07that allegedly threatens public peace.

00:10Inspector General of Police Razaruddin Hussein said the posting was related to the relocation

00:16of the Devi Sri Patrakaliaman Temple in Kuala Lumpur.

00:21He said Zamri is currently being detained at the Padang Besar District Police Headquarters

00:26locked up and will be brought to Kanga Khor tomorrow for a remand application.

00:32Razaruddin said a police report was lodged yesterday at the Dangwangi Police Headquarters

00:38over the posting, with the complainant accusing Zamri of sedition and tarnishing the reputation

00:44of the Hindu faith.

00:46The case is being probed under the Sedition Act and Section 233 of the Communications

00:51and Multimedia Act for improper use of network facilities.

00:57On Tuesday, it was announced that the temple committee had agreed to move 50 meters away

01:03to a new 4,000 square feet site matching its current size.
