00:01Former Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission Chief Commissioner Zulkifli Ahmad has officially joined AMNO.

00:09Zulkifli handed over his membership form to Merbau Kudong AMNO Chief Ramli Dawud

00:14during a brief ceremony in Pening last night, Udusai Malaysia reported.

00:20He said it was time for him to be more active in the party

00:23and that he would continue serving the people of Tasik Gelugur,

00:26which he had already been doing in a personal capacity.

00:30Zulkifli said he was joining as an ordinary member

00:34and that he chose AMNO because of its past dominance.

00:38Zulkifli had been rumored to contest the Tasik Gelugur parliamentary seat

00:42during the 15th January election in 2022, but the speculation never materialized.

00:49He was appointed MACC Chief on August 1, 2016 and resigned in May 2018

00:56after Pakatan Harapan formed the government following its victory in the 14th January election.
