00:59Good news for commuters like Rufina, travel time will soon be faster.

01:04The construction of the Cavite-Laguna Expressway or Calax Subsection 3 is in full swing.

01:10This new section will connect the Silang Interchange to the Governor's Drive Interchange in Cavite.

01:16President Ferdinand R. Marcos, Jr. recently inspected the project.

01:21When it's completed, the 44-kilometer Calax will reduce travel time between Cavitex and

01:32South Luzon Expressway by 45 minutes, which will give an average of 95,000 motorists a day.

01:43Malacanang says the expressway will not only cut travel time but also lower food prices.

01:50We can reduce the travel time.

01:52It will definitely also reduce the fuel consumption and it will benefit all travelers and also

01:59those that will transport the food and other necessities.

02:07That's a welcome development for vegetable vendor Rufina.

02:11High transportation costs have been affecting her business.

02:14If the area you're going to get the Calax is far away, it's worse for the gasoline.

02:28As of now, 44 of the Calax Subsection 3 is completed.

02:33It is expected to be operational by the third quarter of 2025.
