'Shamless' Star Shanola Hampton & Mark-Paul Gosselaar Discuss Working Together on 'Found'

Parade caught up with Shanola Hampton (Shameless) and Mark-Paul Gosselaar (Saved By the Bell, NYPD Blue), stars of NBC's 'Found' at SCAD TVFest.

00:00It's amazing. Shameless changed my life. I will never frown upon being called Veronica, ever,

00:06because she is sort of what put me on, not sort of, is what put me on the map. I worked with my

00:13very best friends, my family, we are still family, we're still hanging, we were just together last

00:17week. So for it to still be having a life and then a life after that and new generations

00:24discovering this story, it just goes to show how material can be timeless and how it can impact for

00:31generations and that means we've done something right. So I'm super proud of that project,

00:36but I'm more proud of the people that were involved. As co-stars, like off-screen?

00:41It's pretty clear what she's asking. But why did you go to me first? You have the money.

00:45Because people want to hear from Shinola Hanson. They have no desire to hear from Mark Paul Gosselar.

00:55We're a parade and I want to say that season two shifted. I didn't have to work with Mark Paul,

01:01what's your last name? Gosselar? As much as I did season one and it was a blessing for my life,

01:07okay? No, actually it sucked. The truth is I miss us together, I miss us together on screen,

01:14I miss my days of working with Mark Paul. He is my sanity in this crazy world and yeah,

01:20that shift wasn't fun, but I think it was. I'm sorry your world is crazy. Let's talk about that.

01:25Let's talk about your crazy world. Let's talk about the crazy world of found. Your life is

01:29amazing. I'm looking for missing people. Your world is amazing. Look at all the beautiful

01:33people in your world. I'm talking about Gabby Moses. Oh, got it. Yeah, Gabby's life is crazy.

01:38Okay, how did it shift for you? Answer the question. It was a little more challenging

01:43for me because now I'm not in Gabby's basement and I didn't get to just work with her. I had

01:48to learn the other names of the other cast members who I had no idea in season one what

01:53their names were, so that was really difficult, but it was great. I mean, I think for the audience

01:59and for the people who like to watch the show, it's, you know, seeing the world, our world expand

02:06is a good thing for it and I hope we continue in season three. Just a little more connection

02:11between you and I. Yeah, it'd be nice. Hopefully in season three there'll be more screen time with

02:16the two of us together. So when you mentally prepare for a role like Gabby Mosley, you have

02:20to trust your writers, which I do. They put it all on the paper. I'm very good at seeing what's

02:27on the paper, delivering that, and then when the cameras are not rolling, we're sort of doing this.

02:32Now, the mental preparation for this one, as you can see, he's kind of a, would you call yourself

02:38psycho? Good description. I'm sorry, you just pulled me off the street. I'm not on this show.
