00:06The move by Donald Trump amid strained relations between Washington and Kyiv was confirmed

00:11by his national security adviser Mike Waltz.

00:14Did the U.S. pause intelligence sharing with Ukraine and is it still paused right now?

00:19We have taken a step back and are pausing and reviewing all aspects of this relationship.

00:28I just got off the phone before I walked out here with my counterpart, the Ukrainian

00:33national security adviser.

00:35We are having good talks on location for the next round of negotiations.

00:43In an interview on Fox News, CIA Director John Radcliffe suggested that the pause in

00:48intelligence was limited in scope and was a temporary measure to force both sides back

00:53into negotiations.

00:55Negotiations that ended abruptly after a heated exchange between Trump and Ukrainian

01:03President Volodymyr Zelensky last Friday.

01:06The U.S. has provided Ukraine with intelligence since Russia's full-scale invasion started

01:11in February 2022.

01:13Their intelligence is believed to help Ukraine strategically by understanding Moscow's next

01:18moves and tactically by providing information on the position of Russian troops.

01:24One Ukrainian lawmaker said the loss of American intelligence could be partially replaced.

01:30We can rely on our own resources.

01:32We have them.

01:33Of course, they are smaller, but they are there.

01:36And there are also the resources of partners other than the United States have.

01:41Though it is unclear whether the American suspension could affect the intelligence sharing

01:45ties between Ukraine and other Western powers, such as the United Kingdom and France.
