00:09Needless to say, if Stanton plays 150 games,

00:13not only is he gonna hit 28 home runs,

00:15he's gonna hit 58 home runs probably,

00:16but we're gonna set the bar at 28.

00:19Buy or sell, George, Stanton hits 28 plus

00:21home runs this season.

00:23You know, I did SportsRage earlier this week

00:26and we were talking about this.

00:27My first thought was, it's February 17th

00:31and we're already talking about Stanton's injuries.

00:34All right, and you and I both don't believe

00:35he's gonna start the season with the team.

00:37So my thing is this, I don't know when he will play.

00:39Maybe it's not till May.

00:41Are you honestly telling me that'll be the last injury

00:43that he has this year?

00:45That he's gonna play from May through October?

00:47Anyone really buying this?

00:48He hasn't hit more than 28 home runs in the season

00:50in three years, right?

00:52He hit 27 last year, 24, then he hit 31, 35.

00:57This is a sell for me.

00:58He's not hitting more than 28.

00:59Like I said, I don't think he's gonna start the season

01:01with the team and you can't tell me.

01:03He's not going on the IL at some point,

01:05June, July, August, whatever it might be.

01:07So no, he'll probably come close.

01:09You know, low 20s, 25, somewhere around there,

01:12like he's done the last couple of years here.

01:13But more than 28, I hope I'm wrong.

01:16I really hope I'm wrong when he hits 42 home runs

01:19because he plays 140 games and only misses May.

01:22But no, this is a sell.

01:24He's done it seven times in 15 seasons.

01:27How could I possibly buy this?

01:29It's not a buy, it's a sell.

01:30And it may happen.

01:32But it's just a horrible sign that this is happening.

01:36And yeah, like if he misses April, there's no shot.

01:40So I'm gonna sell this.

01:43It's really, he's had a very strange career

01:47where it's been so much boom or bust.

01:50He put together basically the best offensive Marlins season

01:52of all time.

01:54Yankees were in love with getting them

01:55and he's had some big years there,

01:57but he's also had some zeros too.

01:58Like Giancarlo Stanton hasn't had,

02:00he's had, let's see, one season of above one war since 2018.

02:08I mean, that's replacement level player

02:10in Major League Baseball, Giancarlo Stanton.

02:12But it was great in the post season.

02:14No doubt about that.
