00:00The Presidential Task Force on Media Security acknowledged the latest report of the committee

00:05to protect journalists that no Filipino journalist has been killed last year.

00:11According to PT FOMS Executive Director Jose Torres Jr., it is a crucial step in the continuous

00:17effort of the government to ensure the safety of media personnel in the country.

00:22Torres also said this is a proof of the cooperation of various government agencies, including

00:28law enforcement agencies, media organizations, and the civil society to promote safe places

00:35for the press.

00:36The PT FOMS also recognizes the dedication of those who help to maintain press freedom

00:41and protect the lives of media professionals.

00:44Furthermore, Torres asserted they will continue to address all types of threats and harassments

00:49against journalists, such as online attacks, intimidation, and other forms of violence.
