00:00The media launch of the Philippine Open Government Partnership and Asia and the Pacific Regional Meeting 2025

00:10The importance of the Open Government Partnership is discussed here.

00:14Its goal is to promote transparency, accountability, and civic participation in leadership.

00:20This is also the first time that the Philippines will become a host country

00:24of the APRM since the OGP was established in 2011.

00:30More than 700 local and international delegates, including heads of states, government officials,

00:36civil society leaders, and policy makers are expected to attend the event.

00:41Meanwhile, Executive Secretary Lucas Bersamin and Budget and Management Secretary Amena Pangandaman

00:47also attended the event.

00:50Some high-ranking government officials also attended the event.

00:53This event is a pivotal step in our journey toward enhancing democratic governance

01:02and empowering the Filipino people.

01:06Today's event is not just to drum up our enthusiasm further.

01:11It is a recognition of the fact that the Open Government Agenda is present
