00:08That's why today, to introduce the Lakanbini 2025 pageant, we will be joined by the pageant producer, Eloy Sa Deserto,

00:16along with the faces of Lakanbini 2025, Atalia Badere and GJ Dorado. Good morning!

00:23And welcome here to Rise and Shine Philippines.

00:27Ma'am Eloy, what is the purpose of the Mr. and Ms. Lakanbini pageant and how is the process here?

00:36Our vision and mission is to provide a platform for young generations to empower their minds to join these creative pageants.

00:49Because the expectations for pageants are increasing, so let's build and mold the characters of the young to prepare for the next pageants.

01:02But how is this different from the pageants that Meiji joined?

01:09But I think this is for young people, 17 to 25 years old.

01:1517 to 20 years old?

01:16Yes.

01:17Because you're 26 years old.

01:18No, I'm just 16 years old.

01:20But ma'am Eloy, is this the first time that this pageant will be held?

01:25Yes.

01:26This is the inauguration, this 2025.

01:28So how many candidates do you have in the circle?

01:31For females and males, there are 25 each. 25 females, 25 males.

01:36Alright, so you already have activities lined up?

01:39Yes.

01:40Alright, so can you tell us when the pageant night and coronation night will be?

01:47The coronation night will be on May 18, 2025 at Binangonan Auditorium in Binangonan, Rizal.

01:54So it's going to be a long preparation for the candidates.

02:00Can you tell us about the inspiration behind this pageant?

02:04Actually, we have our restaurant.

02:08We sponsor sports and this kind of pageants.

02:12So for me personally, to mold younger generations into kind paths.

02:20So that's my inspiration.

02:22Provide them the platform that they need so they won't end up in bad places.

02:30We're here with Atalia.

02:32Atalia has a beautiful smile.

02:34You represented the Philippines as Princess of Universe 2021 in Europe.

02:39Yes.

02:40Can you tell us about your experience there?

02:42Actually, it's my first pageant.

02:45And it was held during the pandemic.

02:47So what we did was more on videos.

02:50Even the runways were full of videos.

02:53And it was a great experience as a first-timer in the pageant.

03:00Yes, it's fun to go abroad at such a young age.

03:04And also in Europe.

03:05How old are you, GJ?

03:09I'm 20.

03:11And you're also an influencer, host, and model.

03:14You do a lot of things.

03:16Do you want to try anything else?

03:18Outside.

03:19Yes, outside.

03:20Being an influencer, being an actor, and a host.

03:23I really wanted to try.

03:25Usually, I like outdoor activities.

03:29But I'm sick, so I don't really like it.

03:32I wanted to try motor cross-border biking.

03:36That's nice.

03:37A lot of people are trying it now.

03:42But for you two, what do you think are the qualities that Mr. and Ms. Lakanbili should have?

03:48Firstly, for me, it's all about confidence.

03:51And how they bring themselves to the stage.

03:55Must be able to say their answers in the most genuine way.
