00:22The 25-year-old, who is being honored at the first-ever Expedition Gala,

00:26organized by the UAE-based Expedition Magazine, turned up on the dot at 7.30 p.m. to the fitting

00:32screams.

00:37Catriona is actually like my role model. The way she answered

00:41questions in Miss Universe, she's showing her love for our country.

00:46Apart from her undeniable features, she's very well-spoken, she's very smart,

00:53and she's really very proud of her culture as a Filipino.

00:57She is so smart and beautiful herself, and all Filipinos here in Dubai loves her.

01:04I'm inspired by her. That's what I also talk about.

01:14Gray, who was crowned in Bangkok, Thailand in December last year,

01:17became the fourth beauty queen from the Philippines to win the Miss Universe title.

01:22She's known for her work with slum children and her HIV-AIDS advocacy.

01:26She's beautiful inside and out. She loves the kids, her advocacy.

01:34As an OFW, she's an icon to all Filipino people. She's very patriotic,

01:40and she's a symbol for all women empowerment.

01:44She's good inside and out, and she's so lovable, especially for the less fortunate people.

02:12I'm not going to slow down once my reign ends. I want to pursue and continue the work that I do

02:23am passionate about, not just as a Miss Universe.

02:25Gray's walk during the Miss Universe pageant went viral and was quickly dubbed the Lava Walk,

02:31a homage to her mother's hometown in the volcano-prone Bicol region of the Philippines,

02:35and also the inspiration for her winning red dress.
