00:00Good afternoon from the Pag-Asa Weather Forecasting Center.

00:04This is our update on the weather for the next 24 hours.

00:09At the moment, the shear line is moving due to the cold wind brought by Amihan

00:15and the hot wind brought by Easterlies throughout Visayas, as well as here in Palawan.

00:21Due to the shear line, the chances of us experiencing rain for the next 24 hours

00:26in Palawan, Visayas, and the northeastern portion of Mindanao

00:31in the provinces of Dinagat Islands and Surigao del Norte.

00:36Meanwhile, due to Easterlies or the hot wind from the Pacific Ocean,

00:40we can see here in our latest satellite images,

00:43the thick clouds that are affecting Mindanao

00:47is the continuous effect of the weather system.

00:50So, for the rest of Mindanao, let's hope that there will be scattered rains,

00:55For Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon,

00:59due to the northeast monsoon or the cold wind from Amihan,

01:03we can still expect a cold temperature, especially in the early hours of the day.

01:07The chances of us experiencing clouds and rain are high

01:10that we can expect in the northeastern portion of Batanes and Cagayan,

01:14on the other side of Baboyan Island.

01:16Meanwhile, we can also experience fair weather in Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon,

01:21except for the chances of light rains or thunderstorms.

01:25At the moment, we are not yet monitoring the low-pressure area

01:28or the bad weather inside and outside of our Philippine Area of Responsibility

01:33that could cause a storm the next day.

01:36And for the upcoming weather tomorrow here in Luzon,

01:41due to the effect of Amihan, the chances of us experiencing clouds and rain are high.

01:47This is our possible experience in Batanes, Baboyan Island,

01:52and also here in the area of mainland Cagayan.

01:54So, in the mentioned areas, it is possible for us to experience fair weather

01:57until sometimes, there will be heavy rains.

02:00Let's be prepared for the possible chances of flooding and landslides,

02:04especially if the rain continues.

02:08This part of the region will continue to experience clouds and rain,

02:11and this will be accompanied by light rains or thunderstorms

02:15in Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon.

02:17And due to the fact that Amihan is flooding here in a large part of Luzon,

02:21including Metro Manila,

02:23where the cold weather is still present,

02:25the low temperature will reach early morning.

02:30In the areas of Palawan, Visayas, and Mindanao,

02:34we expect that the chances of flooding in Palawan, Visayas, and most of Mindanao

02:39will gradually decrease starting tomorrow morning.

02:41So, tomorrow morning, we expect that the weather will be clear.

02:45But when the late afternoon to evening comes,

02:48we expect that the chances of flooding and landslides will increase

02:54and suddenly, there will be heavy rains and thunderstorms.

02:56So, starting tomorrow afternoon, even though the weather will be clear in the morning,

03:00we expect that in the afternoon to night,

03:02a large part of Palawan, Visayas, and Mindanao

03:07will experience cloudy weather.

03:10We expect that the rainfalls will continue in the eastern section of Visayas.

03:16More in particular, in the eastern Visayas area,

03:18we expect that the rainfalls will continue tomorrow.

03:21So, we should be prepared for flash floods and landslides.

03:27At the moment, we have a high gale warning here in the seaboard in northern Luzon.

03:33So, we have a gale warning here in the area of Batanes,

03:37in the area of Cagayan, on the other side is Baboyan Islands,

03:41in the seaboard of Ilocos Norte,

03:43and in the northern portion of Ilocos Sur.

03:45There are several Ilocos Sur areas that have a high gale warning.

03:48So, to our fellow fishermen and those who have small fishing vessels,

03:53to these seaboards, let's not go too far because we will experience

03:57high waves that will bring strong winds.

04:00Meanwhile, moderate to strong,

04:02or moderate to bad weather that we expect in the rest of northern and central Luzon.

04:13And for our three-day weather outlook in the neighboring areas of our country,

04:18starting on Wednesday, January 29,

04:22this area of southern Luzon, more in particular,

04:25this Kabikulan in Legazpi City,

04:27there is a high chance of flash floods and landslides that we expect

04:30because we expect the effect of the northeast monsoon, the strong winds.

04:34We will still experience fair weather in most of northern and central Luzon.

04:38So, in Cordillera, including Baguio City,

04:41and also here in central Luzon, that includes Metro Manila,

04:44we expect these fair weather conditions on Wednesday.

04:48However, when Thursday arrives until Friday,

04:51the entire Luzon will experience high chances of cloudiness,

04:57accompanied by light rains or thunderstorms.

04:59But this area of Batanes and Cagayan,

05:02as well as this area of Isabela,

05:04since these are the areas that will be most affected by flash floods,

05:09we should be prepared for landslides

05:12because we expect significant rainfalls that we may experience in the coming days.

05:18In Visayas, in the areas of Metro Cebu, Iloilo City, and Tacloban City,

05:25starting on Wednesday, there will be rainfalls brought by shorelines.

05:31So, as compared to the previous day,

05:33we expect that there will be continuous rainfalls brought by shorelines

05:38or the convergence of hot and cold winds.

05:41So, that will continue until Thursday.

05:43So, throughout Visayas, there will be high chances of rainfalls

05:46or, more in particular, landslides and landslides that we expect.

05:51Improving weather conditions that we may experience
