00:00The Metro Manila Council recommended a hybrid set-up for the President's Diplomacy Program.

00:06Jumalin Doctolero of the Philippine Information Agency, National Capital Region, has news for the country.

00:15A hybrid set-up of the President's Diplomacy Program was recommended by the Metro Manila Council President and San Juan City Mayor Francis Zamora

00:22to facilitate the access of people to fresh vegetables.

00:25This is for local governments that do not have enough space for physical stores.

00:30In the help of MMC, MMDA Chairman Romando Artes, Pasay City Mayor Emey Calixto Rubiano, and Agricultural Secretary Francisco Chu Laurel,

00:40Zamora said that they just want to be sure that all barangays will benefit from the KNP, regardless of the limitation of space.

00:48We can no longer dedicate to structure or building.

00:52So I'm requesting for a possible hybrid kind of store.

00:58Sometimes, the secretaries that we talked to from the DA,

01:03they have specifications of stores.

01:06Maybe a smaller one, maybe not specifically in this exact location.

01:14Just so that we can still implement it.

01:17Laurel gave support to Zamora's request and announced that the DA has a plan to launch Mobile Kadiwa of the President's Stores.

01:26This is the next step of the purchase of Food Terminal Incorporated of 24 trucks, and there is a plan to increase the number of units.

01:32Not all of them have ample parking.

01:36So there are parking spots that will be given to us, or space, then we'll put up the booths, right?

01:43Or a full store.

01:45For those that don't have parking, technically, it's guerrilla style, mobile, going around.

01:52At present, there are more than 20 Kadiwa Centers and Kiosks in Metro Manila,

01:57and 150 public and private choices in the National Capital Region.

02:01Secretary Laurel also announced that the price of rice under the Rice For All Program

02:06has dropped from Php 40 per kilogram to Php 38 per kilogram since January 17.
