00:11Hi, I'm Humphrey Alejandro.

00:13And I'm Elvira Alejandro.

00:14We customize and personalize prints like mugs, shirts, umbrellas, and more.

00:21Hi!

00:26Before, I worked for a company as a graphic artist.

00:30And she, my wife, was in charge of another company.

00:35So we thought, why not build our own business?

00:40At first, it was just like a sideline.

00:43We worked when we had free time.

00:46We started at home.

00:48Our business was just at home.

00:50We just occupied one room.

00:53We just started.

00:55I just called the corporate.

00:57We just started.

00:58We didn't have an aircon.

01:00That's it.

01:01In our office, at home, it was just the two of us.

01:05And we only had one messenger at that time.

01:08So, our business was getting better.

01:12We got our staff to help us here.

01:17And now, we have a branch again.

01:22We started when we were just the two of us.

01:25I was the owner.

01:27It was just the two of us.

01:28Then, I was the messenger.

01:30Then, I was the delivery boy.

01:33We didn't have a car at that time.

01:35What we did was, we used to have an F-X.

01:39When there were a lot of orders.

01:43What we went through here in the business,

01:46it was really difficult.

01:49When we started in partnership,

01:52my sister, I made her a partner.

01:56Because the business is like this,

01:59sometimes, it's just peak season.

02:01Sometimes, it's just seasonal.

02:02So, what happened was,

02:05our partner felt that it wasn't worth it.

02:09So, we broke up.

02:12We needed to end the business.

02:14Because it was too much.

02:16What I remember was,

02:17we broke up because it wasn't profitable.

02:20We broke up because of debt.

02:22The debt piled up.

02:24Because what we did was,

02:26instead of our staff,

02:27we just went ahead with it.

02:29So, we can get it back.

02:30I think our debt reached up to 1 million.

02:34We didn't know how to pay it back.

02:38But we still continued it.

02:40Until one time,

02:42the biggest break of our business,

02:44someone entrusted us with a big company.

02:46Until we were able to get back on our feet.

02:49After that company,

02:52there were more companies that came to us.

02:55Our life changed a lot

02:58since we started our business.

03:00Because from being just an employee,

03:04of course, being an employee,

03:07no matter how hardworking you are,

03:10your salary is just up to that point.

03:12But when you open a business,

03:14it's like it's unlimited.

03:16You're the one who will decide

03:20how big your income will be

03:22depending on how hardworking you are.

03:24Maybe that's it.

03:25Financial freedom,

03:26and the time freedom

03:28that we got when we started our business.

03:30Our previous debt of almost 1 million,

03:33we were able to pay it back.

03:35Now, we are able to save that much money.

03:38So, if you really want to have financial freedom,

03:43start a business.

03:45Of course, there is fear sometimes,

03:47because we fear the unknown.

03:49Because if we back away,

03:50nothing will happen to us.

03:51But if we move forward,

03:53two steps forward,

03:55we will see.

03:56And we'll never know

03:57where those steps will lead us.
