It is said that one meal a day or OMAD diet helped some Filipinos to lose weight.

But an expert found out that it should not be done every day.

And that's what Bon Aquino is pointing out.

Aislinn Capili gained almost 100 kilos in 2024

while Chito Lim, a 31-year-old businessman, gained 135 kilograms.

Because of this, Aislinn and Chito tried the one meal a day diet or OMAD.

This is fasting for 16 to 23 hours and eating only once a day.

Now, their pegs glow up after losing 40 kilograms in 6 to 7 months.

But OMAD was not easy.

In my first months, I planned to give up because my head hurts.

Mostly at night, I still feel hungry.

I snacked on bananas and apples.

According to a lifestyle doctor, the right way to do the one meal a day diet

is to eat something that is good for the body.

Instead of using carbohydrates, the energy of the body shifts to fats.

It also increases insulin sensitivity.

That's why sugar is more beneficial for the body and cellular repair.

When there is an energy depletion, your body thinks,

okay, this is the time to clean my body and destroy the cells that are already defective.

But according to the doctor, OMAD should be done 2 to 3 times a week.

It cannot be done every day.

You will notice that those who fast for a long time, they would lose weight.

The Filipino Department of Health should also follow
